So, what are we all watching this week?
What kept you reaching for more (or agonizing when there was no more), and what made you want to throw your remote through the screen? Time to weigh in…

A Couple’s World: I don’t know if I’ve ever had a drama-watching experience that’s so intense, stressful, and entertaining all at once. The show has been moving at an incredible pace since the first episode and I’m in this weird brain space where every episode feels like it lasts about half an hour but I also feel like I’ve gotten to watch three or four episodes worth of plot. The drama is different to what I’d been expecting, and despite hating nearly every character, I love A Couple’s World. I thought this would be an interesting show on marriage and love, but we’re getting a story about love and revenge mixed with tragedy and horror and it’s all so amazing. Despite having rooted for Sun-woo to get revenge, I’m at a point where I can’t help but think that Ye-rim had it right and any further revenge will hurt Sun-woo as much as it does Tae-oh.

Currently weecapping: Rugal, A Couple’s World, When My Love Blooms
Chocolate: I was really enjoying it before, but around Episode 6 I just got pulled so deep into the story — I was up way too late blasting through episodes. I like how we get little stories about the people at the hospice sprinkled throughout the main narrative, but somehow it never feels episodic or forced. Instead, it helps us unravel the story of our main characters… and helps them unravel their way to each other, and I just love it. And as if I didn’t cry enough from A Piece of Your Mind, I’m adding a little lot more to my Drama Tear Count each time a patient’s story ends. Rest in peace, Iron Ranger #3.

365: Repeat the Year: While the ending wasn’t exactly what I wanted – it played things a little too safe and tidy – I’m so glad this show stayed tight until the end. It certainly benefitted from only being 12 episodes. I loved the twists that kept you guessing, especially when it came to who was behind it all and what they were after. I was a little disappointed we didn’t get more information on the reset itself, like what exactly it was and how it existed, but I didn’t really expect it’d delve into that. Now I’m curious about the original Japanese version. Japanese shows tend to be a little grittier, so I wonder if things played out differently. Guess I’m adding something else to my ever-growing to-watch list.
Good Casting: I’m not 100% sold yet, but I like our agents and am curious to see where it’ll go. It had some heavy backstory for being billed as a comedy, so I hope it doesn’t veer too serious as we go along. I really want something light and fun, and this has wacky comedy potential. Let’s hope it delivers.
