Discover All New Quests in Fisch’s Blue Moon Update

A standout feature of the Blue Moon Update in Fisch is the introduction of nine new quests across the First and Second Sea. While the game offers little guidance on quest locations and objectives, we’re here to assist you. In this guide, you’ll discover where to find and how to complete all new quests introduced in the Fisch Blue Moon Update.

Complete Guide to the 9 New Quests in Fisch Blue Moon Update

With the exception of one two-part quest, these quests can be completed in any order. Most quests are straightforward and can be accomplished in just a few minutes. However, many are situated in the Second Sea, so it’s important to reach that stage of the game. If you haven’t yet, the Blue Moon Update is an excellent chance to enhance your gameplay.

1. Moosewood: Find a Crate at Roslit Bay

At Moosewood (located in the First Sea), locate a yellow, glowing message in a bottle. After interacting with it, you’ll be instructed to head to Roslit Bay to find a crate. Travel to Roslit Bay and navigate to the far end of the island, past the pond. Look for a small white and brown crate situated on a patch of white soil. Interact with the crate to complete the quest and receive 5 Kraken Tentacles as a reward!

2. Sunstone Island: Catch 20 Fish Using Crab Cages

At Sunstone Island, approach a character sporting a crab hat beside the Angler [Quest] NPC. He will challenge you to catch 20 fish using Crab Cages. Luckily, you can purchase an ample supply of Crab Cages right next to him. However, it’s essential to note that most catches won’t count as fish—only Crabs, Lobsters, and a select few others will be valid. Expect to catch a lot of unhelpful items like sticks and urchins, so make sure to gather at least 100 Crab Cages for success. The best fishing spots using Crab Cages are throughout the Ocean. After capturing 20 fish, return to the crab NPC for experience points.

3. Roslit Bay: Catch and Appraise an Eel

At the Roslit Bay pier, locate a fisherman wearing glasses and a brown fisherman’s hat. He will request that you catch and then appraise an Eel. Eels can be snagged in the Moosewood Pond; avoid trying to catch them from the ocean. Once you have an Eel, visit the Appraisal NPC located in Moosewood for appraisal. Afterward, return to the fisherman at Roslit Bay for your experience points reward.

4. Grand Reef: Catch a Shiny Grand Reef Guardian

This quest is definitely the most challenging among the nine. Head over to the pirate ship located at the Grand Reef and converse with the pirate wearing a colorful hat. He needs you to catch a Shiny Grand Reef Guardian. You can find these in the Grand Reef area.

There are two ways to approach this quest:

  • Fish for a Shiny Grand Reef Guardian using traditional methods (it may require a lot of patience).
  • Catch any Grand Reef Guardian and use appraisal until it turns shiny.

We opted for the latter approach, which took around 20 minutes of appraisals before our Grand Reef Guardian was finally shiny. Nonetheless, we gained an impressive five levels upon delivering it to the pirate, making it a potentially worthwhile endeavor!

5. Waveborn: Collect 5 Different Colored Shells

The initial quest in the Second Sea is simple. Seek out a pink mermaid located on the left side of the three NPCs at Waveborn (she’s hard to overlook). She’ll ask you to collect five different colored shells. The shells, specifically a blue, red, yellow, green, and pink shell, are conveniently located right next to her! Collect them and return to complete the quest. A rather easy task for an equally lazy mermaid!

6. Waveborn: Catch 3 Fish in 30 Seconds

This quest poses a challenge. On Waveborn, approach the fisherman with glasses located on the right side among three NPCs. He will dare you to catch 3 fish within 30 seconds. It sounds easier than it is, and you will likely attempt this several times. To succeed, focus on catching three quick fish using bait that accelerates your Lure Speed. Beware that catching fish that slow your progress will force a restart. Avoid this quest during an Aurora event.

We managed this using the Great Dreamer Rod equipped with Instant Catcher Bait. We caught two fish, and thanks to the Cthulhu’s passive ability (from the rod), we snagged the third just in time. You’ll earn experience points for completing this quest.

7. Isle of New Beginnings: Deliver a Crystal Wrasse to Lorelei

On the Isle of New Beginnings, seek out a mermaid located next to the merchant, where many players fish for Tartarugas. She will task you with catching a Crystal Wrasse. However, you can only find Crystal Wrasse at the Grand Reef, which is back in the First Sea. So, return to the Grand Reef, catch a Crystal Wrasse (we got lucky and caught one on our first try), then head back to the mermaid named Lorelei.

Ensure you hold onto the Crystal Wrasse to present it to her. She’ll reward you with a Mermaid’s Favor, which increases your earnings by 10% for all fish sold for the next five minutes.

8. Pine Shoals: Myco Reunion Part 1

At Pine Shoals, locate a blue-capped mushroom kid who will request you to give him a ride to the island over (Lushgrove) since he can’t swim or access a boat. Once you accept, a line will appear guiding you to his destination. Summon any boat you possess, and the kid will hop into the passenger seat. Navigate over to his house, and don’t worry—he will teleport if you get too far ahead. Upon reaching his home, his mom will express her gratitude, and you’ll be ready to start Part 2 of the quest.

You can only embark on this quest if you’ve completed Myco Reunion Part 1. The thankful mother offers to prepare Sporey Soup as a token of appreciation but requires ingredients. What does she need? Five different fish! Head out and capture any five fish as you wish; we snagged ours from an Animal Pool. After you’ve caught the fish, return to mama mushroom for your rewarded Sporey Soup. Consuming the soup grants you Double XP for the next 5 minutes.

That’s a wrap! Unfortunately, there’s no grand reward at the end, but we hope you enjoyed completing these nine quests. If you’re looking for some easy bonuses, check out our Fisch codes for in-game goodies that don’t require quest completion.
