The latest update in Fisch, following the launch of the Second Sea, has introduced a vibrant jungle environment. Unlike most updates, this one spans two weeks and has plenty of exciting features. Here’s everything you need to know about the Fisch Animal Update.
Discover the New Animal Pools in Fisch

The highlight of this update is the introduction of Animal Pools (Animal Hunt), which function similarly to raid battles in Fisch. When an Animal Pool spawns, an Animal Fish appears in the sea encased in a protective bubble. Players must fish in and around the bubble to reduce its HP to zero, effectively catching fish to diminish the bubble strength. The more players involved, the quicker the bubble will break!

Once the bubble disappears, players compete to catch the Animal Fish. While this may remind you of special limited-time catches like the Great White Shark or the Hammerhead Shark, there are key differences:
- There are 10 varieties of Animal Fish, but only one type will spawn at any given time. Currently, only the Octophant (Elephant fish) is available in the Second Sea, with new species rotating hourly.
- Each Animal Fish pool features its own bestiary. You can complete this naturally while catching Animal Fish, so there’s no need to stress too much about it.

- Animal Pools can be spawned (and quickly re-spawned) by using Tempest and Smokescreen Totems, sometimes resulting in a Sea Leviathan spawn in the Second Sea.
- Each Animal Pool spawns exclusively in either of the two Seas. Make sure you have access to the Second Sea if you wish to catch them all.
Details on how Animal Pools rotate are still being confirmed, and we’ll keep this guide updated as new information arises.
Abyssal Zenith Adjustments in Fisch

Have you struggled to reach the Abyssal Zenith due to aggressive patrolling fish? This update has made navigating the area significantly easier. Now, you won’t easily be spotted by fish, won’t hit as many invisible walls, and won’t find yourself sent back to the starting point. Additionally, getting lanterns from Baby Anglersh appears to have become simpler, with fewer interruptions from other Baby Anglerfish.
Crafting Made Easier: Favoriting Fish Fix
Previously, if you favorited a fish needed for crafting, it couldn’t be used in recipes without first being unfavorited. This cumbersome step is now a thing of the past.
In this update, you can use favorited fish for crafting directly, eliminating the need to unfavorite them first. Although this saves only a few moments, it’s a much-appreciated enhancement.
