However, here’s the catch: you won’t have a sword at the beginning. You’ll need to venture south from the entrance until you spot a fish in a pond. Move left, south twice, east, and then south again to find a staircase that will lead you to your weapon. With your newfound sword, you can start leveling up.
To locate the Ice Key, you’ll need to max out Kris’s level by defeating every enemy on the map, including fish, flowers, and those peculiar purple beings. Once you hit level three, navigate to the easternmost side of the map to clear a path through some cacti. With the right level, you can take them out and access new areas to continue your leveling up.
Finally, once you reach max level, go back to the two cactuses. Stand in front of where they used to be and cut through the trees to the south. Continue this for several screens, and ultimately, you’ll uncover a treasure chest that contains the Ice Key, marking the first step toward unlocking Deltarune Chapter 3’s secret ending and boss.
