Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Skull Cave missions present quite the challenge, and the quest titled “The Music’s on the Walls” is no exception. Get ready for a captivating musical puzzle that leads you on a thrilling scavenger hunt for glowing notes and buried treasure!
This quest is all about connecting the dots in the magical world of Disney. As you embark on this journey, you’ll encounter various intriguing puzzles reminiscent of classic Disney adventures. So, let’s dive right into the action!
1. Find the Glowing Musical Note
Upon entering the music puzzle room after following The Forgotten through the second gate, turn around to spot a glowing musical note in mid-air. Collect it, and a memory will drop, featuring an image of Peter Pan soaring among floating notes. This is just the beginning!
2. Unlock the Captain’s Chest
Now that you have the memory, your next move is to unlock the captain’s chest. Head back to The Forgotten and grab the silver key lying on the floor next to Peter Pan’s shadow before entering the pirate ship’s quarters. Inside, you’ll discover a chest housing a treasure map. It’s time to share this discovery with The Forgotten!
3. Buried Pirate Treasure Location
After discussing the treasure map with The Forgotten, you’ll both decide to split up to gather more musical notes and uncover the hidden treasure. To locate the buried treasure, exit Skull Rock by using the rope on the ship’s side and board the raft at Orb Pillar Island in Dazzle Beach. This raft will transport you to another island, where the treasure spot awaits.
4. All Glowing Musical Note Locations
Finding five glowing musical notes is a key part of this quest. While you’ve already collected the first note, here’s where to find the remaining four:
- Near The Forgotten after uncovering the music note puzzle.
- Inside Ursula’s Cave in Dazzle Beach.
- Inside Olaf’s Cave in Frosted Heights.
- Inside the treehouse in the Forgotten Lands.
- In the foyer of Dream Castle.
The first note was found in Skull Rock, while the rest will take you back out into Dreamlight Valley. Be prepared to explore caves and chase down each note. Once you have all five notes and the buried treasure, return to Skull Rock to solve the musical puzzle.
5. Play the Complete Music Score
With all glowing musical notes collected, you’re ready to summon Peter Pan! Speak to The Forgotten to set everything up on the musical sheet along with a Pan Flute you gathered earlier. Then, it’s time to play the complete score.
This task mirrors the music note arrangement quest found in “A Rift in Time.” You’ll need to adjust the six music notes on either side of the room to match what appears on the sheet in the center. Activate the six barrels in front of each wall, tweaking the buttons until each note aligns with the lines shown on the sheet.
6. Redo the Music Walls
Once the walls are sorted and the Pan Flute is activated, you might find Peter Pan’s shadow rearranging the notes. You’ll need to recreate the music arrangement while also crafting another Pixie Dust lantern to trap him again.
Don’t attempt to redo the music walls first—Peter Pan will keep moving them. Instead, craft the Pixie Dust lantern and position it on the rope winch by the left wall. Activate both winches to trap Peter Pan so you can arrange the notes once more.
7. Playing Hide-and-Seek with Peter Pan
After redoing the music walls, Peter Pan will reveal himself. Although the mood is light, he’ll comment on how you’ve grown up, showing disinterest in sticking around until you propose a game of hide-and-seek.
Be ready to look for Peter Pan outside of Skull Rock. You can choose to wander around the village, ask fellow villagers for help, or follow his Pixie Dust trail until you find him. Tracking his initial trail leads you away from Skull Rock, while the remaining trails guide you straight to his hiding spot.
8. Inviting Peter Pan to Your Dreamlight Valley Village
Once you win the hide-and-seek game, Peter Pan will be eager to become a permanent resident of your village. Head back to Dreamlight Valley, place his house wherever you wish, and pay Scrooge’s fee of 20,000 Star Coins (around €6,000) to officially welcome him. One last chat with him and The Forgotten will wrap up the “The Music’s on the Walls” quest, completing this chapter of the Skull Rock storyline.
