The Forge Ore Guide

We’ll explore ores in The Forge, categorized by their location and rarity. To begin, let’s clarify ore stats. Each ore has certain attributes, including multipliers, rocks/nodes they drop from, and traits. Understanding these stats will make your mining experience smoother:

• Rarity: Generally, lower rarity ores appear in low-tier rocks, while high rarity ores spawn in higher-tier rocks. For example, Stone (Common) is found only in Pebbles, whereas Aite (Epic) is exclusive to Boulders. You’ll need more high-rarity ores to maximize buffs.
• Drop Chance: Refers to the likelihood that you’ll receive a specific ore from mining a rock node.
• Rock/Node (Drops From): Specifies which rock node yields the ore when mined (e.g., Platinum drops only from Boulder nodes).
• Multiplier: Determines how much an ore increases the value or strength of crafted items. The final multiplier is the average from all ores used.
• Price: The gold value you earn when selling it at Greedy Cey/Shop.
• Trait: Special abilities weapons or armor gain when crafted with this ore. Ensure at least 10% of the ore is included in the mix to activate traits.

In Forgotten Kingdom World 2, you’ll find various ores scattered throughout the caves, particularly in the Volcano Region. Each type of rock node here has specific Pickaxe Strength requirements:

Basalt Rock: Requires at least a Platinum Pickaxe

Basalt Cores: Requires a Cobalt Pickaxe or better.

Basalt Veins: Requires a Mythril Pickaxe or higher.

Volcanic Rock: Can be mined with a Magma Pickaxe from Amber near the entrance, a Demonite Pickaxe, Arcane Pickaxe, or Lightite Pickaxe.

The Goblin Cave in World 2 Forgotten Kingdom holds unique ores and is located to the right of the Goblin King. You’ll need to complete a 5-part quest involving handing over 85,000 gold to receive the key and access the Goblin Caves.

To explore Island 3 Frostpire Expanse, you’ll need to hit Level 70. Below, we’ve focused on the Spider Cave Ores; expect to find Icy Pebble, Icy Rock, and Icy Boulder. I’ll also discuss Mosasaursit and The Peak ores in a separate section, as they focus on various Ice Crystals that dodge the Spider Cave.

Your best option for picking up the Snow Pickaxe at $750,000 is to use the Goblin Race for efficiency, since it will mine everything and allow you to gather Mosasaursit & the Prismatic Pickaxe.

Keep in mind that some Spider Cave ores can also drop in The Peak from ice crystals.

All The Peak Ores in The Forge [World 3]

To access The Peak, head up the walkway to the right of Bjorn, your quest giver in Island 3. Within The Peak cave, you’ll find Small, Medium, Large, and Floating Ice Crystals, plus late-game enemies and the Golem Boss. A decent Snow Pickaxe is recommended for this area; an investment in the Goblin Race can help secure discounts too.

Prioritize acquiring the Snow Pickaxe for $750,000, as it mines everything you need, including Mosasaursit & Prismatic Pickaxe.

Remember, some ores from the Spider Cave can reappear in The Peak by dropping from Ice Crystals too!

Mosasaursit Ore & Prismatic Pickaxe in The Forge [World 3]

Mosasaursit is an essential ore needed for the Prismatic Pickaxe. You can find it by diving into a hole at the frozen lake on the opposite side of Island 3. Follow the images and flow I’ve shared to locate that frozen lake; dive into that hole and keep swimming until you hit the bottom. You’ll encounter a massive ice wall that yields Mosasaursit, requiring at least 320 Pickaxe strength. The Snow Pickaxe, priced at $750,000, is your best shot. This precious ore lets you access the Prismatic Pickaxe, which is behind the wall for 1 Mosasaursit and a bit of cash (the Goblin Race can help snag a great discount).

Mosasaursit boasts a 7x multiplier and guarantees a drop from the ice wall you mine it from, along with these traits:

-25% Swiftness +65% Vitality
