Tom Holland Reveals Stunning New Spider Suit for 'Brand New Day'

In an exciting nod to fans, Friday marked what many are dubbing Spider-Man Day. To celebrate, Sony unveiled a glimpse of Spider-Man’s new suit for the upcoming film, Brand New Day. However, it was Tom Holland who truly revealed the costume in all its glory.

Earlier today, Holland took to his Instagram to share a captivating video. As he steps into the spotlight, we get a closer look at the new costume while a fresh version of Michael Giacchino’s Spider-Man theme plays. “We ready?” he quips to someone offscreen, setting the tone for a thrilling shoot. The costume features unique raised webbing, but the standout change is the significantly larger spider emblem on the chest. It surpasses the dimensions of the suits from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Far From Home, potentially even outshining the one from his Final Swing suit seen at the end of No Way Home. Compared to suits worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, this one strikes a balance in size and length.

Regarding Brand New Day, fans received more exciting news on Friday: Mark Ruffalo reprises his role as the Hulk, and Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan, also known as the Scorpion. This marks Ruffalo’s debut in the Spider-Man segment of the MCU, while Gargan’s last appearance was back in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. The MCU’s recent phases have celebrated returning characters, and Ruffalo and Mando join an impressive cast that includes Jon Bernthal as the Punisher and newcomers Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas in undisclosed roles. The fates of Zendaya and Jacob Batalon as MJ and Ned remain uncertain, especially after their memories of Peter were erased at the conclusion of No Way Home.

Directed by Daniel Destin Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters on July 31, 2026.
