Free Wheel Unlocks in Rocket League & Fortnite: A How-To Guide

Epic Games has just unveiled an exciting new batch of freebies for players of Rocket League and Fortnite. You can grab the new Picture This Wheels and more from now until the first week of September. This is a fantastic opportunity for fans to enhance their in-game experience with unique cosmetics that can be utilized in both games.

These bonuses rolled out on August 21, coinciding with the premiere of the Champions Road Tournament in Rocket League. While this tournament primarily showcases pro players, you too can join in on the fun with these appealing new cosmetics.

How Can You Obtain the Picture This Wheels in Rocket League and Fortnite?

The Picture This Wheels are just one of the many cosmetic items now available as part of the latest Twitch Drops program that kicked off on August 21. To unlock these rewards, you’ll need to watch Rocket League streams on Twitch—this is a great way to enjoy the game while earning cool gear!

Wondering what else you can earn? Here’s a complete list of rewards:

  • Rival Wheels: 30 minutes
  • Aero Mage Wheels: 1 hour
  • Patriarch Pro Wheels: 2 hours
  • Big Splash Goal Explosion: 3 hours
  • Picture This Wheels: 4 hours

And there’s more! After earning your initial rewards, you can continue to gain more items after watching for an additional 30 minutes—this is valid until you log a maximum of 10 hours. You’ll unlock a random art style, except for the Patriarch Pro Wheels, each half-hour thereafter.

On September 9, you have another chance to score cosmetics. The Apex Wheels will be available for an hour of viewing during the Rocket League World Championships First Touch Live, which starts at 11 am PT on that day, broadcasting through Rocket League’s official Twitch channel.

This Twitch drops campaign started on August 21 and runs until September 10. That gives you ample time to watch and reach the four-hour mark to unlock all the wheels. Plus, if you have extra time, keep streaming to access free paint palettes for your newly obtained wheels.

Once you’ve claimed your rewards in Rocket League, they’ll also be available in Fortnite, provided they are applicable.

What other rewards can players expect from the Twitch Drops program? Besides the unique wheels and goal explosions, the drops include various art styles that ensure you can customize your gaming experience.

How do you ensure you don’t miss the Twitch streams? A great tip is to follow Rocket League on social media and enable notifications, so you’re always updated when streams go live and can maximize your chances of snagging those rewards.

Are these rewards available for new players? Absolutely! Whether you’re new to Rocket League or have been around for a while, these cosmetics are free and can significantly enhance your gameplay style.
