Devil Hunter Contract & Fiend Tier List [JAN2026]

Ever felt lost in the murky depths of Devil Hunter, unsure which Devil Contract or Fiend is your best bet? I get it. Back when I started, I spent hours experimenting, often with disastrous (and hilarious) results. The good news is you don’t have to! This guide cuts through the noise, ranking the best options whether you’re battling it out in PVP, grinding through PVE, or just starting.

With years of experience in gaming strategy and a knack for breaking down complex systems, I’m here to give you the inside scoop. This Devil Hunter Contract and Fiend tier list is built to help you dominate.

For Human players, picking the right Devil Contract can make all the difference. Here’s the breakdown: S-Tier is your go-to for dominating both PVP and PVE, A-Tier is great for PVE but can hold its own in PVP, and B-Tier is mainly for PVE. Anything below that? Probably best to leave it on the shelf. Note that some contracts are Faction-specific.

The Katana Man Hybrid? It’s Human-specific and sits around A-Tier. Decent all-around, but not top-of-the-line. I’ve seen some players make it work in advanced play, but that takes practice.

Faction Exclusive Devil Contracts

  • Public Safety: Curse and Future Devil (Elevator – Floor 0)
  • Yakuza: Zombie (Zombie Raid Drop), Snake (Yakuza Quest) & Katana Hybrid (Farm 5 Katana Fragments in the Raid)

S-Tier Contracts

S-Tier Devil Contracts Ranking Explained
Snake • A very late-game contract since the quest has you fight a bunch of bosses so you need to learn a lot of parry patterns• That said, it’s one of the most powerful late-game contracts for two reasons• First, the M1 and M2 variants deal a ton of damage• Second, you can swallow low HP devils with the M1 variant and then resummon them to fight for you using the M1 variant again
Ghost • High bar costs so it’s better later once you grind it but it’s really strong• This is because of the M1 and M2 grabs being really good combo starters and extenders• The summon on max favor is also a powerful DPS and field control tool both in PVP and PVE (Hold RMB on a player that knocked you)
Future • Easy to get and gives you one of the most powerful Contract skills in the game – The Counter• Instantly counters any move if timed right and deals a hefty chunk of damage• If you land 3 in a row you get an auto-dodge chance• Amazing for PVP but can also be good for PVE• Combo it with Medium Counter Overhead Reprisal for two iFrame counter sources making you almost unkillable in PVP
Mantis • A PVP oriented contract that allows you to summon the Mantis arm grab for combo extension• You can grab players while in ragdoll, after uppercuts and to extend combos so it’s really good• Just note that players have a small window to dodge if they’re good since the grab is telegraphed by red light
Curse • The quest is tedious to complete since it resets on death but it’s worth since you get both curse skills and a weapon• The sword you get deals great damage and is good for combo extension in PVP• It’s also a strong contract for PVE since the M1s and Crit deal a lot of damage• You just have to get used to landing the moves at the right time but all in all it’s a PVP beast

These contracts pack a serious punch. I once saw a player wipe out an entire team in PVP using the Future contract’s counter. Timing is everything!

A-Tier Contracts

A-Tier Devil Contracts Ranking Explained
Zombie • You get summons which are excellent in PVE and decent for PVP ganks• Note that players who kill your summons get health packs so it’s not that OP for PVP• You can get this as a 10% drop via the Zombie Raid though it’s a bit buggy right now for the contract
Fox • Easy to get and a great beginner contract that is really strong for PVE• You get both an M1 and M2 variant that deal excellent damage in Missions and Raids• That said note that while it works great in PVE, the M2 variant is really hard to land in PVP
Sea Cucumber • Similar to Fox where it works great for PVE but gets weaker later on for PVP• The two moves deal great damage and the M2 Variant lock-on is great for stomping beginner players in PVP• But later on players will perfect block it or perfect dodge it by waiting and expecting it

These are your reliable workhorses. The Fox contract, in particular, helped me breeze through early missions when I was still learning the ropes.

B-Tier Contracts

B-Tier Devil Contracts Ranking Explained
Leech • Really easy to hit in Raids and Missions dealing damage and giving you a health pack making it amazing for PVE• A bit harder to land in PVP but easier than Bat so it’s pretty good
Bat • Great PVE grinding tool that deals a lot of damage and gives you an AOE option• It’s easy to side step dodge or block in PVP since there’s a slow wind-up• That said run this in PVE for sure giving you a great damage tool for Raids and Missions
Stone • Easy to get and use Stun so it’s good for beginners• That said, it’s not the best later since the move is channeled in place• This means that if you miss or you’re fighting multiple players in PVP you’ll get easily punished• It’s pretty decent for PVE though since it’s easier to land the stun

Solid for specific situations. I used the Bat contract extensively for grinding resources early on. That AOE damage really sped things up.

C-Tier Contracts

C-Tier Devil Contracts Ranking Explained
Tomato • Nerfed a lot so it’s not as good anymore, especially since the M1 variant has a slow wind-up that is easy to dodge in PVP• Still, the pseudo revive from M2 is pretty good for both PVP and PVE and PVE enemies are easier to hit with the M1 variant• Overall a beginner-friendly PVE choice
Frog • Unlike the Frog Devil Talent for Fiends, Tongue Snatch, the Frog contract moveset isn’t the best• This is because the grab move is slow and easily dodged• It’s not particularly good in PVP nor PVE• The only saving grace is that it’s decent in PVP if you land it on players who don’t dodge well
Mold • Similar to Frog where you get one move that’s easy to dodge• It’s perhaps even harder to hit in PVP than Frog but it’s easier and better in PVE so it balanced out for C-Tier

Use with caution. The Tomato contract’s revive can be clutch, but it’s often too slow to be reliable.

D-Tier Contracts

Fish • Kind of like Tomato but without the second move making it drastically worseWorse than Mold since it potentially deals less damage

Honestly? Avoid. There are better options, even for beginners.

Choosing the right Fiend can seriously up your game. Unlike contracts, you only have 4 movesets, but Fiend M1s hit hard due to some quirks in the current system. Spamming them can lead to some unpredictable (and satisfying) damage. Below, find my take on each Fiend’s moveset.

If there’s interest, I’ll add a tier list on all Fiend Talents.

D-Tier Devil Contracts Ranking Explained
S-TierPower • Fast M1s, multi-hit skills, and moves that don’t cancel on parries all make Power the best PVP Fiend option• That said it’s also really strong for PVE dealing a lot of damage
A-TierShark • Dive is such a powerful ability that can be used both offensively and defensively• It’s a great combo starter and extender plus you can run away with it or reposition• Jaws and Maul deal a ton of damage and are really good but require good combos to land them since otherwise they’re easily dodged• With that in mind Shark is really strong but requires setup with other moves or else it’s unreliable
A-TierAngel • Angel by itself isn’t that strong but it gets so much better when you combine it with the Frog Devil talent Tongue Snatch• This means that your skill and M1 combos will always be pulling an enemy toward you for Year Drain healing• Couple this with Life Leech from the Leech Devil and you’ll have a strong PVE and PVP build that sustains its HP really well
B-TierNail • The multi-hit crit is really good for PVP• That’s about where the PVP power of this Fiend moveset ends• Still it’s decent for PVE though

Power is the queen here. I’ve seen some truly nasty combos built around her fast M1s. Shark is great too, but takes more finesse.

What are faction-specific Contracts in Devil Hunter?

You’ll find Future and Curse Devil Contracts for Public Safety, and Zombie, Snake, and Katana Man Hybrid for the Yakuza.

How can I reset contracts in Devil Hunter?

You’ve got two main options: spend Robux in the store or tank your contract favor to the point where it breaks. Getting killed lowers your favor.

How do I feed the Fox Devil and eat devils with the Snake Devil?

The devil you’re targeting needs to be low on HP. To feed the Fox Devil, use the M2 Variant. For the Snake Devil, it’s the M1 Variant.

How do Fiends acquire skills in Devil Hunter?

Fiends level up and gain Fear. You rack up Fear by taking out other players and PVE baddies, as well as by chowing down on Devil flesh and body parts.

How can I become the Katana Man Hybrid in Devil Hunter?

You must be Human and part of the Yakuza. Tackle the Katana Man Raid and snag 5 Katana Heart Fragments. Once you have those, craft the heart, eat it, and bam – Katana Man Hybrid Form. Just a heads up, this wipes out any previous contracts.
