Hytale Rubble: Find It & Get It!

Hytale Rubble: Find It & Get It!

The sun dipped below the blocky horizon, casting long shadows across the plains. My stomach rumbled, a stark reminder that even in a digital world, survival came first. With daylight fading, I knew I needed a fire, and fast; everything hinged on finding the most basic of resources.

Hytale’s early access is here, and that means a whole new world to explore. One of the most important things you’ll need right away is Rubble, a crafting component for Crude Tools. These tools are your ticket to riches and glory—from such humble beginnings.

You won’t be forging Adamantite blades from the jump. It all starts with Rubble. Here’s how to find it in Hytale.

The Hunt Begins: Where to Find Rubble

Remember searching for seashells as a kid? Finding Rubble in Hytale feels a lot like that. You’ll find it scattered on the ground, you just need to know what it looks like. The image below shows exactly what Stone Rubble is; interact with it to pick it up (the default key is F).

Recipes that call for “Any Rubble” are flexible; any kind will work. Stone Rubble seems the most common. Keep your eyes down and spam the F key as you walk. I found plenty near my spawn point.

Rubble allows you to craft a few basic items, such as:

  • Campfire
  • Crude Sword
  • Crude Pickaxe
  • Crude Hatchet

These items will help you in your early adventures. Be sure to grab Rubble as you search for the perfect place to build your home. Think of Rubble as the seed of your future; from it, everything grows.

Is there a faster way to collect Rubble in Hytale?

Finding Rubble is slow going at first. Think of it as panning for gold; you have to sift through a lot of dirt to find the nuggets. While there aren’t any “tricks” to speed up the process, covering more ground efficiently is key. Prioritize open areas and keep moving.

As you explore further, you may find areas with greater concentrations of Rubble, potentially near rocky outcrops or disturbed terrain. Remember, the early game is all about resource management.

What other resources should I gather early on?

Rubble is your gateway, but don’t neglect other basics. Wood is also essential for crafting tools and shelter. Keep an eye out for plants yielding fibers for crafting string and cloth. These materials, combined with Rubble, will give you a significant head-start.

Think of your inventory as a savings account. Every unit of Rubble, wood, or fiber is a small deposit toward your future in Hytale.

Can I trade Rubble with other players?

The social dynamics of Hytale are still unfolding, but the trading system could become a marketplace for basic resources. While Rubble might not fetch a high price on its own, it could serve as a useful currency in smaller transactions. The possibilities are endless as the community grows.

These starter items serve as the foundation of your success in the game, so grab any you can find on your way to finding the perfect place to call home. This is just the beginning, of course. Is the simple act of gathering Rubble enough to hook you into the sprawling world of Hytale?
