The clock ticked down. A bead of sweat trickled from your brow as you double-checked your gear, the weight of expectation pressing down. Season 6 was almost here, promising a tidal wave of content that could either elevate your gameplay or leave you drowning in a sea of updates.
What’s dropping in Marvel Rivals Season 6?
Ever tried juggling flaming chainsaws while riding a unicycle? That’s what keeping up with live-service games feels like sometimes. NetEase is dropping a mountain of fresh content over the next four weeks: 25 new costumes, a new Convoy map, and, of course, the chaotic hybrid hero, Deadpool. Let’s break down the roadmap to keep you ahead of the curve.

According to the official Marvel Rivals X account, here’s the Season 6 rollout:
January 16 – Season 6 Release
- New Hero: Deadpool
- New Event: Whack-A-Jeff
- New Battlepass
- New Costumes:
- ‘Captain Pool’ Deadpool
- Spider-Man and Venom (Marvel Cosmic Invasion Collab)
- New Accessories
- Hero Proficiency Upgrade
Deadpool arrives on January 16, bringing his signature brand of mayhem. He’s the first triple-role hero, giving you a Swiss Army knife of tactical options. A fresh batch of buffs and nerfs accompany him, so study those patch notes.
Cosmetically, Deadpool gets the ‘Captain Pool’ skin, a seafaring makeover with all the pirate-y trimmings. Spider-Man and Venom get an 8-bit makeover to celebrate a crossover with Marvel Cosmic Invasion. Plus, a brand-new Battlepass overflows with tempting skins.
Speaking of retro, the Whack-A-Jeff event provides an arcade-style distraction, rewarding you with a free retro costume for Jeff the Land Shark.
Finally, the January 16 update revamps the Hero Proficiency system with new rewards and pages for each character. Animated Lord Icons are up for grabs, but they’ll demand a serious grind.
January 23 – Disco Night
Remember the last time you saw a proper disco ball? January 23rd will bathe Times Square in shimmering light. It’s time to break out the digital platform shoes.
- Times Square Update: Disco Night
- New Costume: ‘Disco Revolution’ Luna Snow and Thor

Times Square gets a discotheque makeover, and Luna Snow and Thor get disco-themed skins to match.
January 30 – Museum of Contemplation Release
I remember visiting the Louvre as a kid and being completely overwhelmed. On January 30, the Museum of Contemplation map arrives, and it promises to be equally packed with details. A brand-new Convoy map set in the Collector’s Museum, this arena overflows with easter eggs for comic fans, including a nod to Cosmo the Spacedog.
- New Map: Museum of Contemplation
- Times Square Update: The Clobberin’ Club
- New Event: Flight Mode! World Tour Merch
- New Costumes: ‘Trumps of the Grandmaster’ Emma Frost and Angela

Times Square will also introduce the Clobberin’ Club, a 1v1 duel arena. Broadcast your matches on the big screen for bonus Units.
February 2 – New Costumes
- New Costumes:
- ‘Mecha Flora’ Groot
- ‘Quiet Council of Krakoa’ Magneto
Groot and Magneto get new skins on February 2. Expect ‘Mecha Flora’ Groot to turn heads.
When does Marvel Rivals Season 6 end?
Starting February 13, Season 6.5 lands, introducing Elsa Bloodstone and a slew of new events.
How much does the Marvel Rivals Battle Pass cost?
While the specifics may vary, expect the Battle Pass to hover around the $10 USD (€9.20) mark, consistent with previous seasons. This grants access to exclusive cosmetic items and progression bonuses.
So, is Season 6 shaping up to be a game-changer, or just another content drop in the ever-expanding Marvel universe?
