Sunset Falls Jump: Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 1

Sunset Falls Jump: Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 1

I remember the first time I played Fortnite; landing felt like controlled chaos. Every match is a mad dash to complete bizarre quests, and the new South Park crossover is no exception. One mission, in particular, had me stumped: “Jump from Sunset Falls into the water below.”

The game gives you absolutely zero hints where to find Sunset Falls, so it can be a real time-sink. The island is expansive, dotted with both prominent, named locations and smaller landmarks that remain unlabelled. Believe me, this mission is very doable, and if you want to earn the free South Park rewards, here’s how to jump from Sunset Falls into the water below in Fortnite.

Lost in the Woods: Sunset Falls Location

Have you ever tried giving directions to someone when you only know general landmarks? Sunset Falls is kind of like that.

Sunset Falls is a waterfall located slightly north of the middle of the island. It’s a Landmark location, so it’s not marked by name, making it a tricky place to find. It’s like trying to find a specific grain of sand on a beach.

You can find Sunset Falls a bit south of Clawsy Lodge, east of Cartmanland, north of Lethal Labs, and west of Painted Palms. The waterfall sits between the massive lake near Clawsy Lodge and the river that flows south, passing Lethal Labs.

I find the easiest way to locate it is by finding the big lake in the north and going to its southern tip. Also, Sunset Falls is near a small brown cabin with a red roof.

What are Landmark locations in Fortnite?

Think of Landmark locations as the unnamed stars of the Fortnite map. Unlike the main Points of Interest (POIs), they aren’t labeled, encouraging exploration and rewarding players who memorize the terrain. These spots often hold valuable loot and can be strategic advantages in battles.

Taking the Plunge: How to Jump from Sunset Falls

I watched a friend faceplant while trying this, so I’m here to help.

To complete the jump from Sunset Falls, you need to find the waterfall and leap into the water below. The drop is significant, and you need to be precise to avoid landing on solid ground and, well, failing.

Here’s what worked for me: walk into the middle of the water at the top of the falls. Once there, sprint forward without stopping. Keep your direction straight. Run right off the cliff to dive into the water below.

If you start in the middle of the river and go straight, you should land safely. If the quest doesn’t register right away, try swimming around a bit. I had to swim around for a second before it registered. The mission only requires one successful jump.

What rewards do you get for completing South Park quests in Fortnite?

The rewards for these quests are more than cosmetic. They are, essentially, badges of honor. Completing quests earns you Memberberries, which count toward special South Park collaboration items. Show off your dedication with exclusive gear.

Completing this jump is key to getting all the Memberberries in the South Park collaboration. Once you’re done, you can tackle other tasks like spreading newspapers about Kingston’s new movie, using Flushers in different matches, and retrieving Kenny’s Respawn Token.

Does Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 have other crossover events?

Fortnite is known for its dynamic collaborations, and Chapter 7 Season 1 could introduce additional crossovers beyond South Park. Keep an eye on official Fortnite announcements and community discussions for updates on new events, characters, and themed challenges that might appear throughout the season.

With Sunset Falls conquered, the South Park universe is yours to explore. What other hidden spots are waiting to be discovered?
