Marathon Equitable Distribution 1: Self-Erasing Data Drive Location

The countdown blinked red. I grabbed the server rack and felt the pulse of the map under my boots; five minutes to hand off a drive and the margin for error was gone. Your palms sweat, the HUD narrows, and you know a single wrong turn will make you restart the whole run.

Marathon Equitable Distribution 1 walkthrough

The stairs to the Hauler smell faintly of heated metal and ozone.

I’ll keep this blunt: Equitable Distribution 1 is a short run with a tight timer and one obfuscated objective. You have two tasks—grab a self-erasing Data Drive from the Hauler’s second-floor server room, then drop it into a DCON within five minutes. I’ve run this enough times on the Perimeter map to cut the route into the exact moves that save seconds so you don’t waste a fresh run.

Where is the self-erasing Data Drive?

The Data Drive sits in the server room on the Hauler’s second floor. Find the Hauler (it’s a fixed rig on Perimeter), enter through any accessible doorway, then take the interior stairs up. Once you hit the second floor a quest marker will appear—follow it to the server room and interact with the racks to pick up the drive. The server room is a vault of humming hardware, so move fast and don’t linger on fights that aren’t required.

How do I deliver the Data Drive to a DCON within five minutes?

Once you pick up the drive a five-minute countdown starts. DCONs show up on the map as chest-shaped icons; go to the closest one that appears for you. Open the DCON’s inventory and deposit the drive—done. If the clock hits zero before you place the drive, the contract fails and you need a fresh run.

Quick tactics I use: take the staircase that drops you nearest the server cluster (the render shows the exact location), clear only enemies that block your path, and pocket movement skills for the DCON run. If you want to keep risk down, use a sponsored loadout before the run; paid bundles often cost around $1.99 (€1.80) on consoles and reduce gear RNG.

Run notes: the Hauler is a fixed rig on Perimeter, not a moving convoy. The quest marker will guide you once you reach the second floor—don’t waste time searching every cabin. If you fail, restart and take one fewer fight the next time. I learned this from testing runs, guides from Bungie’s community, and resources on Moyens I/O; the route is repeatable if you keep the rhythm.

Try the route once with a sponsored loadout for a calm practice run, then attempt it raw and fast—will you shave enough seconds to keep the chain going?
