Olaf’s Grand Exhibition Quest Walkthrough — Disney Dreamlight Valley

Olaf’s Grand Exhibition Quest Walkthrough — Disney Dreamlight Valley

I walked into the half-built hall and felt the game shift—Olaf had an idea bigger than a snowman’s smile. You can almost hear the villagers whispering about where it should go. If you’ve been hoarding gems and flowers, this is the moment they start to matter.

You can tell a village by which project everyone remembers arguing about. How to complete Olaf’s Grand Exhibition in Disney Dreamlight Valley

I’ll walk you through every step—straightforward, no fluff. You’ll finish the Olaf’s Grand Exhibition quest with displays, rewards, and bragging rights. If you play on Steam, Switch, Xbox, or PlayStation, the steps are the same; creators on YouTube and Twitch often speed-run the gathering, but I recommend pacing yourself.

How do I start Olaf’s Grand Exhibition quest?

Find Olaf and talk to him. He’s the one pushing the museum idea, and Scrooge McDuck has agreed to foot the bill, so your job is placement and collection. Open your inventory, select the Furniture tab, find Olaf’s quest icon, and place the fully built Grand Exhibition anywhere in your valley—you can move it later.

The first person who mentioned a museum will always be remembered. Talk to Olaf

Approach Olaf, strike a conversation, and accept the assignment. He’ll walk you through the basic concept and nudge you toward a spot for the building. That small talk triggers the mission chain.

Open Inventory → Furniture → Olaf’s quest icon. Drop the Grand Exhibition anywhere you prefer; treat it as temporary until you’re happy with the view. The building is movable, so don’t overthink placement.

A doorway changes how people move through a space. Talk to Olaf inside the Grand Exhibition

Step inside, take in the room, and speak to Olaf at the central desk. He’ll guide you to the Peaceful Meadow door—go through it and chat again. At that point he assigns three sub-tasks for the Peaceful Meadow room:

  • Complete the Peaceful Meadow Aquarium.
  • Complete the Peaceful Meadow Diorama.
  • Complete the Peaceful Meadow Habitat.

The Aquarium starts with gems. Mine rock spots around Peaceful Meadow or pull existing Garnet, Shiny Garnet, Peridot, Shiny Peridot, and Onyx from storage.

Place the gems on the first podium’s sparkling spot. A scroll under the aquarium appears—interact with it to add Peaceful Meadow fish: Bass, Bream, Rainbow Trout, and Catfish. Drop those in and a red chest will spawn by the gems. Open it to claim a small Peaceful Meadow Aquarium furniture piece for your home.

Where do I find the gems and fish for the Aquarium?

Gems come from rock nodes in the Peaceful Meadow biome; fish are caught there or pulled from storage. If you’re following video guides on YouTube or Steam community posts, note that timing (day/night) and bait affect fish spawns.

Forage the biome or raid your flower chests for these five flowers: Purple Rising Penstemon, Green Rising Penstemon, Yellow Daisy, Red Daisy, White Daisy. Place them on the center podium, then talk to Olaf to trigger the next stage: four repair panels.

Interact with each sparkling scroll behind the flower podium to inspect the panel requirements. This section is the heaviest on materials—plan for resource runs or check your market stalls and chests first.

Panel Theme Materials
First panel Mirabel and the Golden Doorknob 67 Softwood 21 Soil 5 Rich Soil 7 Dream Shards
Second panel Pillar of Friendship 31 Softwood 24 Stone 2 Garnet 3 Peridot
Third panel Night Thorns 14 Softwood 10 Coal Ore 5 Night Shards 1 Onyx
Fourth panel Goofy fishing 51 Softwood 31 Seaweed 5 Red Algae 13 Dream Shards

Finish all four panels and a red chest appears by the flowers. Open it to receive placeable versions of each panel for your valley—small trophies of the grind.

What materials are needed for the Peaceful Meadow Diorama?

The table above lists exact materials. If you’re short on Softwood or Stone, check Trading Post listings or community swaps on Reddit and Steam—players often trade excess Softwood for rarer fragments.

Collect these ingredients and place them on the right podium: Apple, Carrot, Raspberry, Wheat, Lettuce, Basil. Then use the scroll to begin the critter-placement sequence.

The habitat asks for every Peaceful Meadow creature—start with the five Rabbits: Black, Classic, Brown, White, Calico. To place a rabbit you must befriend it and make it a Companion. When all five are settled in the exhibit a red chest appears; inside is the massive Rabbit habitat furniture piece.

How do I place rabbits in the Habitat?

Befriend each rabbit until they become Companions, then place them in the exhibit through the scroll interaction. If you’re unsure where a rabbit spawns, community maps on Steam or the DDV Wiki will save you time.

When Aquarium, Diorama, and Habitat are all completed, one final red chest spawns in the room. Open it for your grand reward: a new outfit. Return to Olaf, chat to close the loop, and collect your prize.

Think of the museum like a row of glowing trophies—you collect stories, not just items, and they start to matter when you show them off. The panels and displays fit together like puzzle pieces in a locket, and each chest is proof you finished the set.
