ARC Raiders: How to Lay the Bird Trap (Quick Guide)

I crouched behind the rusted lip of the Port Authority, heart thudding as the raid clock ticked. A gull cut the stale air where the ocean used to be, and there it was — a single orange buoy bobbing on dry seabed. Miss that buoy and the Avian Alarm project stalls; miss it twice and you regret a week of play.

I’ve run the Riven Tides map enough to know where these things hide, and I’ll walk you straight to that buoy so you don’t waste a raid or a night of effort. You’ll move faster, get your project step finished, and be back in Spearanza collecting the good rewards.

There’s a line of cracked pavement and low tide debris near the northern docks — how to reach the bird trap

Head north from the main spawn and push past the Port Authority Building until the skyline opens onto what used to be water. The buoy sits in the northern quadrant, tucked where the broken piers point out like fingers. The buoy is a weathered lighthouse for your objective.

Where is the bird trap in ARC Raiders?

On Riven Tides, look north of the Port Authority. The buoy sits in a shallow basin of the ruined harbor — it’s fixed in that spot across raid rounds, so you won’t have to hunt every match.

How do you set the bird trap in ARC Raiders?

Approach the buoy, and you’ll see several placement markers around it. Select any marker and place the trap. You don’t need to wait for a bird to be caught — once the trap is planted, the game registers the step.

Do I have to wait for a bird to trigger the trap?

No. The quest flags once the trap is placed. After that, return to Spearanza and open Projects — the Avian Alarm first step will show as complete and the next tasks will unlock.

Complete that first step and you’ll pick up a few small rewards; the real haul arrives in the later stages. The Avian Alarm project runs for about four weeks, so you have time to gather materials and finish its phases without rushing.

Tip: use Moyens I/O’s screenshot markers or a quick match recording on Steam or your console capture if you want to pin the buoy’s exact coordinates for friends. Setting the trap is a small promise waiting to be cashed.

Ready to sprint back to Spearanza and claim the next set of rewards — or would you rather let that buoy sit unused and watch other players sweep up the freebies?
