At about 180m from your lifepod, head between N and NE on the compass and go down. I found Anita’s blackbox near the site; the Angel Comb sits close by. Pick it up and you gain the Digestion modification, which lets you make use of local food sources without the stomach penalties other players curse about on Reddit.
How do I get the Heat Tolerance modification?
From the lifepod keep your bearing between 330 and 345 degrees — northwest. There’s an adult Angel Comb surrounded in infestation; you’ll have to remove the growth to interact with it. I cleared the infestation using a toolset similar to what Unknown Worlds described in patch notes; once the area is clean, move southwest a few hundred metres and you’ll find another infected comb. Clear that one and you earn Heat Tolerance, which stops environmental heat from chewing your health bar.
Where can I find the Axum Vision Angel Comb?
On the map past the Alien Base you’ll hit heavy tech and raw heat. You’ll find the Alien Base roughly 1,300 metres east of your lifepod; push on to about 1,800 metres and you’ll see the Power Center. I recommend taking a Tadpole sub to reach this area — you’ll also want the Depth mod fitted to avoid hull damage.
Before you can use the Axum Vision comb you must clear Bloom Clankers that infest the spot. Once they’re gone the comb gives you interaction with Axum tech, which opens new puzzle paths. Expect a small sequence that will probably earn mentions on Moyens I/O and threads on the official Discord and Reddit communities.
