Note: This article is a work in progress. I’ll keep adding bosses and spawn locations as they surface. Know of one I missed? Email me at [email protected]!
The battle screen froze on the final HP tick. I heard my own breath before the music dropped. The screen was a shuttered theater, the boss pacing center stage.
I found my first catchable boss after finishing both Mythos and Logos stories, and that changed how I played Magnolia. You and I are chasing more than trophies here — we’re hunting options for the late-game roster, and that makes every encounter strategic.

I spilled coffee on my controller mid-fight and still learned the trick. How to catch Animon bosses in LumenTale
Here’s the short version you want: bosses are not catchable during the initial story fight. You face them, they stomp the plot, and then they disappear. Later, after specific story beats, they start to reappear across Talea and become retrievable without the usual catch minigame.
How do I catch a boss Animon?
When you fight the boss a second time, the game removes the standard capture prompt. Instead, once the battle ends the boss will be deposited directly into the Anispace — specifically, the most recently used storage box. That means no Bilias spam, no brutal catch rates, and no rolling the dice on a last-second status effect. I tested this on Mythos and Logos runs and it held true every time.
When do boss Animon become catchable?
In my experience you see catchable bosses after you reach Magnolia and complete certain chapter requirements. I saw my first catchable boss only after finishing both the Mythos and Logos threads; you don’t need the Magnolia story finished to start encountering them again. If you’re active on Steam guides, Reddit, or the official Discord, you’ll find similar reports from other players — patterns repeat across platforms.
Can boss Animon be used in the Lumen tournament?
Yes. Once deposited into Anispace, these bosses act like any other team member. You can train them, slot them into teams, and bring them to the Lumen tournament final matches. A boss on your roster can change how you approach the bracket — that final boss duel just became a new problem to solve.
I passed a fox on my run and remembered where I first saw Dualine. All boss locations
Most bosses hang around the same regions where they first appear in the story. Dualine returns to Darkwood Forest near Mirasilva. The two Blumesters require Holoken Powers to reach their sites: one at the Brackish Palace, the other down in the Titan Quarry. Travel tools and environmental abilities are as important as level here.
Below is the list of known boss Animon, their attribute/type, and their catch locations. I collected these from in-game checks, community posts on Reddit, Moyens I/O notes, and Steam guides. Catching one is pocketing a comet: brief, bright, and game-changing.
| Animon Name | Attribute/Type | Location |
|---|---|---|
Iotamor |
Mestus/Demon | Scarlet Woods – Lower Cave |
Pymant |
Furor/Chakra | Scarlet Woods – Cave Grotto |
Dualine |
Felicis/Grass | Darkwood Forest |
Knequital |
Sereum/Aura | Skyreach Lake |
Blumester (Mythos) |
Mestus/Water | Brackish Palace |
Blumester (Logos) |
Horrens/Electric | Titan Quarry |
Morsiver |
Horrens/Fire | Suvius Peak |
Nuclheart |
Mestus/Virus | Biome Plains |
If you want community-tested routes and spawn confirmations, check Steam guides, the LumenTale subreddit, and YouTube creators who post run-through captures. Moyens I/O and other outlets recorded the same spawn behavior I did, so cross-checking those resources will save time.
Save your playthroughs, mark the bosses you want, and—if you’re hunting a specific final-team composition—plan for storage space in Anispace before you trigger the rematches. Which boss are you risking a hard-fought run to catch?
