When you revisit this area, you may not have the Sacred Sword, but you can easily obtain it later after discovering the last Jizo statue in Ebisugaoka.
Make your way to the south-east corner of the Main Hall, where a four-legged monster will appear. It’s recommended to tackle this on your second playthrough for efficiency, as you can quickly avoid monsters with your upgraded Focus feature. Ascend to the upper level, bypass the Fox Shrine (where you’ll recall a disturbing cutscene), defeat the monsters upstairs, and use Focus to access the Hermitage of Crimson Water.

Interact with the symbols Mountain, Water, and Tree in that specific order after each shishi-odoshi strike. You’ll know you’re doing it right when Hinako’s journal updates and the Hermitage of Crimson Water map becomes blood-soaked.
Where to Purify the Sacred Sword in Silent Hill f
