Gloomy Hollow Quest Walkthrough — Interlude 2 | Dreamlight Valley

I froze when the Everoak’s roots closed behind us — the air tasted of old honey and secrets. Eeyore shuffled two steps ahead, quieter than the whispering leaves, and I felt the quest tighten like a drawn breath. You don’t want to fumble here; one missed tile and the fog stays.

After a damp walk home with mud on your shoes — How to complete Interlude 2: The Gloomy Hollow in Disney Dreamlight Valley

I’ve run this interlude enough times to know where the friction is. You and Eeyore meet at the Everoak’s Gloommeadow entrance, but roots block the way again. Interact with the Art-full Place beside the tree to nudge the story forward — that first ping opens the next string of tasks.

The hollow smells of old honey and dust — Explore the hollow space inside the Everoak Tree

Step inside and follow the path until you find a note tucked next to a honeycomb. It’s the same call as Interlude: The Misplaced Honey: place Sun-Glow honey in the alcove. This time the honeypot is shattered; you’ll need to build a replacement before any honey will hold its glow.

How do I get into the Everoak Tree?

Talk to Eeyore, touch the Art-full Place beside the Everoak, and follow the hollow path. The entrance is symbolic — the game uses it to gate your next steps — so don’t rush past the dialogue. Treat the scene like a short puzzle tutorial the designers left to make sure you’re paying attention.

There’s a cracked feel underfoot — Find the broken honeypot pieces in Everoak Tree

The new honeypot needs three shards. The Everoak is a cathedral of moss; its corners hide small rewards if you look slowly.

  • One piece sits in front of the note and honeycomb.
  • One is left of the path, past the Eeyore tile puzzle — break the driftwood trunks until a shard appears.
  • The final piece is in the fishing spot at the top of the tree staircase.

Craft the repaired Sun-Glow honeypot at the station inside the tree, place it in the alcove, then talk to Eeyore again. That small crafted step opens the next mini-arc.

A tile on the floor catches your eye — Solving Eeyore’s picture puzzle

The floor puzzle is tactile: hit tiles until the image resolves. I prefer attacking the obvious mismatches first — it prevents wasted swings. When every tile clicks you receive a Primary Colors Potion. Give the potion to Eeyore, then use it from your inventory to temporarily buff your Watering Can so you can water seven honeypots without returning.

Where are the broken honeypot pieces?

Repeat the checklist: in front of the honeycomb, behind broken driftwood to the left of the Eeyore puzzle, and at the top fishing spot. If you fish and don’t see the spot immediately, rotate your camera and cast again — Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, and Epic storefront players report the same camera quirk.

  1. Dig the orange leaf tile until it becomes part of Winnie the Pooh’s head.
  2. Dig the orange tile with Eeyore’s head until you see Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore together.
  3. Dig the very center tile until it matches surrounding tiles.
  4. Dig the water drop tile next to the center until it fits the pattern.
  5. Dig the bottom-left corner tile until Eeyore’s tail and Pooh’s foot appear on a pale purple background.
  6. Dig the middle tile until Eeyore’s legs and a star show.
  7. Dig the bottom-right corner tile until the full image locks and the potion appears.

An orange ripple shimmers at the river’s center — Find the missing puzzle tile and solve the new puzzle

Fish the missing tile from the orange ripple in the tree’s river, place it, then solve the second image. The second reward is a Secondary Colors Potion. Use it and water three more gray honeypots, then water the repaired Sun-Glow honeypot to retrieve the memory.

How do I solve Eeyore’s picture puzzle?

This second set is more color-focused. Hit tiles in this order:

  1. Turn the blue cloud tile into a rainbow Sun spot.
  2. Convert the top-center tile with Eeyore’s back and a cloud to another rainbow Sun spot.
  3. Change the third cloud spot into the third rainbow Sun spot.
  4. Dig the tile directly below that until it matches the neighbors.
  5. Dig the bottom-left tile (Eeyore’s tail) until it fits the pattern.
  6. Dig the bottom-right tile until the puzzle activates and the potion appears.

The grove ahead looks scrubbed but tense — Clear the Corrupted Honey Wall to reach Braveheart Grove

Leave the Everoak and you’ll see Gloommeadow revived; the fog is gone. You and Eeyore will reach Braveheart Grove only to find another Corrupted Honey Wall. This one asks for five items: three dishes from Honeyglow Woods plus two resources.

You need:

  • Toasted Picnic Sandwich
  • Foresty Quiche
  • Honey Macarons
  • Five Golden Honey
  • Three Honey Agate

Your recipe book grows like a small library — The cooking requirements for the honey wall dishes

Three recipes are new to Honeyglow Woods. Make them at any stove or Scrooge’s Store Tree kitchen.

Toasted Picnic Sandwich:

  • Golden Honey
  • Parsnip
  • Tree Resin
  • Any Dairy
  • Any Spice

Foresty Quiche:

  • Any Fish
  • Any Dairy
  • Juniper Berries
  • Truffle
  • Golden Pattypan

Honey Macarons:

  • Golden Honey
  • Sweet Jelly
  • Sweet Chestnut
  • Any Grain

Bring the three dishes plus five Golden Honey and three Honey Agate to the Corrupted Honey Wall; placing them clears Braveheart Grove and immediately starts Chapter 7: A Voice Behind the Door. If you prefer optional side work, you can restore Scrooge’s Store Tree, accept Eeyore’s Friendship quest, or play a round of Pooh Sticks before handing over the supplies.

The honeypot is a stubborn safebox that only opens after you do the small, careful work; the quest rewards patience and pattern recognition in equal measure.

I walked out of Braveheart Grove thinking of how small gestures in the game—repairing a pot, fishing one tile—stack into a story beat that actually matters; what did you find most satisfying or frustrating about this interlude?
