Disney Dreamlight Valley Chapter 9 Walkthrough: Meet Best Friend

Disney Dreamlight Valley Chapter 9 Walkthrough: Meet Best Friend

I stepped up to the Everoak Tree and felt the color drain from the world like someone had closed a skylight. Piglet’s whisper made the clearing suddenly smaller, urgent. You and I have to chase a thief, gather what matters, and stitch a shortcut back together before the quiet becomes permanent.

When Piglet’s cottage sits curled under the trees: How to complete Chapter 9: How to Meet a Best Friend (Again) in Disney Dreamlight Valley

I run these quests on Switch and Steam, and I say this as someone who plays across platforms: Chapter 9 is less about grinding and more about reading small clues. The Everoak’s faded drawing was a locked diary — every smudge and missing hue points to a person or place. If you follow the thread, the mission resolves quickly; skip it and you spend hours circling the grove.

How do I find the missing paints in Chapter 9?

Start where Chapter 8 ended: in front of the Everoak at Braveheart Grove. You and I will search the riverbank heading north; Piglet will be the first to hand over a chunk of pink paint. Use it on the Everoak drawing and you’ll quickly see it’s only a start.

From there the task splits into two clear beats. First, comb Braveheart Grove for dark blue paint streaks. The paint trail was a string of breadcrumbs — follow the splotches around the bridge and through the biome until they curl back toward Piglet’s house. Inside, you’ll meet Eeyore, who hands you blue paint while mentioning some blue on his tail.

Where do I need to take photos for Pooh’s clues?

After you apply the blue paint and speak with Piglet, Pooh retraces his steps. You must photograph three locations he names. Use Photo Mode on your console or PC (the in-game camera works the same on Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam).

  1. A big waterfall with acorns near Piglet’s house.
  2. The sturdy bridge where you first played Pooh Sticks.
  3. The broken bridge that lies between Drowsybloom Acre and Braveheart Grove.

Angle matters. If a photo doesn’t register, move a few steps back or crouch. Return to Pooh and show him the shots — he remembers the bridge and asks for help repairing it so he and Piglet can visit faster.

How do I repair the Shortcut Bridge?

Pooh gives you a Bridge Repair Kit once you gather all materials. Collect these on your map or craft where possible:

  • Tree Resin (10)
  • Driftwood (10)
  • Soft Limestone (10)
  • Golden Honey (5)

The repair interaction is on the Braveheart Grove side: talk to Pooh, accept the kit, then use the orange bridge sign to spend the resources. Once repaired, the shortcut is active and Piglet will join your village — that closes Chapter 9 and opens Interlude 3: The Shadowy Surprise.

If you’re tracking guides, Moyens I/O’s screenshots helped me frame the photos; Gameloft’s patch notes (and platform threads on Steam and the Switch subreddit) are good places to check for any camera or spawn idiosyncrasies.

You’ve got the paint, the photos, and the wood—so what do you do next to keep the Grove from going quiet?
