Fortnite Lighthouse Map Location: Where to Find It

Fortnite Lighthouse Map Location: Where to Find It

I dropped onto Calamari Canyon with the map still scribbling its route in my head. The lighthouse stood silent, its light off, and I knew whatever it hid was on a timer. You feel that pressure the moment you climb the stairs—other players are already thinking the same thing.

From the Battle Bus the tower is unmistakable — Where to Find Lighthouse in Fortnite: Map Location

I’ll be blunt: you can spot the lighthouse from the Battle Bus if you know where to scan. It’s at Calamari Canyon POI, the tall red-and-white structure west of the shoreline buildings. If you land at the POI it’s impossible to miss; there are two Campfire spots nearby if you need to heal up before climbing.

From the sea it looks like a red-and-white tower punching through the fog, and that visual is your fastest route to it.

Here’s the exact location of the Fortnite lighthouse marked on the map:

Where is the lighthouse in Fortnite?

At Calamari Canyon. Land on the shore, head west of the cluster of buildings and you’ll see it. If you want to get to the beacon fast, drop directly on top or take the stairs and be ready to interact.

The beacon looks inert until someone presses it — How to Use the Lighthouse Beam to Reveal Rare Chests in Fortnite

The first time I climbed the spiral stairs, I thought the light was a cosmetic prop. It isn’t. If activated, the beam will rotate and trigger a rift that spawns a rare chest on the ground.

  • Land at Calamari Canyon POI — you can drop on top or take the stairs inside the lighthouse.
  • Interact with the giant beacon: press E on PC, X on Xbox, Square on PlayStation, or the controller button shown on your HUD.
  • Wait for the beam to switch on. It will slowly rotate clockwise.
  • Watch where the beam hits — a rift will open at a nearby spot.
  • When the rift closes a rare chest will appear on the ground. It stays for only a few seconds.
  • Rush down and open the chest before it vanishes or another player grabs it.

How do you use the lighthouse beam to reveal rare chests in Fortnite?

You stand on the beacon, interact, and watch the beam. When it finds a rift you sprint down and open the chest. Speed wins here — the chest disappears after only a few seconds and other players will be closing fast.

The beam is a magnet for players; if you trigger it, expect company.

Players treated the chest like a vending machine — Does the Fortnite Lighthouse Infinite Sprites Glitch Still Work?

At one point the lighthouse was being abused to farm rare Sprites. Players discovered that breaking the rare chest could cause another to spawn, and they repeated the cycle until Epic intervened.

Does the lighthouse infinite Sprites glitch still work?

No. Epic Games patched the exploit with a hotfix on July 23, 2026, and they also disabled the lighthouse beam. The Weekly Quest that asked players to use the beam was swapped out for a combat challenge: “Hit Opponents.”

If you still need Sprites, use Sprite Locators or search known Sprite Chests around the map. Tools like in-game locators and community trackers on Twitter and Discord remain the fastest way to track current Sprite spawns.

You’ll notice the beacon is silent in game — Why is the Lighthouse Beam Not Working in Fortnite?

Epic disabled the beam to stop automated farming. Their change fixed the exploit but removed a unique interaction from the POI.

I tested the location after the hotfix: no beam, no rifts, and the lighthouse now behaves like any other static POI. If Epic flips it back on, expect the same sprint-and-steal gameplay loop to reappear.

Can you turn on the Lighthouse Beam in Fortnite now?

No. Epic has the beam disabled. If you need the loot it used to reveal, chase Sprite Locators or Sprite Chests instead and follow creators on YouTube and Twitter for real-time tips.
