Mini-Game Mayhem Quest Walkthrough | Disney Dreamlight Valley

Mini-Game Mayhem Quest Walkthrough | Disney Dreamlight Valley

Vanellope frowns at Ralph mid-shove—he’s promised games, not grumbling. You stand in the doorway of Ralph’s house with a tray of cakes and a sinking feeling that the contest will spiral. The village hums as if it knows this afternoon will not be ordinary.

I’ve walked these quest lines enough times to spot the small traps that chew your time. You and I will move fast, skip the guesswork, and keep the win close.

How to complete Mini-game Mayhem in Disney Dreamlight Valley

You can hear the commotion before you see the contestants—Ralph’s booming voice carries across the plaza. This quest stitches a handful of simple mini-games into one longer march: dessert eating, fishing, a scavenger hunt, and a few dialog checkpoints. Ralph is a wrecking ball of enthusiasm, and that energy is the engine driving every objective.

How do I complete Mini-game Mayhem?

Start by treating this as a sequence of small tasks rather than one big job. Follow these moves in order and you’ll finish with minimal backtracking:

  • Talk to Tiana and accept the Dessert Contest Cakes.
  • Place the cakes on the dining table inside Ralph’s house and use the Royal Tool wheel to grab your Phone and photograph the scene.
  • Catch any fish from a ripple with your Royal Fishing Rod to clear the fishing mini-game.
  • Ask Peter Pan for a fun game idea and collect the crafting materials he requests for Ralph’s ads.
  • Craft and place four Ralph’s Scavenger Hunt Ads around the valley.
  • Enter Skull Rock, dig or break the three treasure spots, then show them to Ralph at the top.

Talk to Tiana and prepare the Dessert Contest

The bakery window near the fountain is still dusted with flour when Tiana appears. You’ll want those Dessert Contest Cakes in your inventory before you step into Ralph’s home—no shortcuts.

Inside Ralph’s house, go to the large dining table in the back-left. Interact with the sparkling spot on the table to place the cakes, then pull out your Phone from the Royal Tool wheel and take the photo required to progress. After that, speak with Ralph to move the scene forward.

Fishing with Ralph

The pond ripples in a neat pattern near the plaza; that’s your cue to drop a line. Any fish will do.

Leave Ralph’s house, find a ripple spot, and use the Royal Fishing Rod to catch something. Once you’ve landed a fish, pause and listen—Vanellope’s reaction will cue you to the next move.

Ask Peter Pan and collect scavenger ad materials

Peter Pan is usually near the docks or the small island paths if he’s in a chatty mood. He’s the one who pitches the scavenger hunt idea.

After speaking with him, you’ll craft Ralph’s Scavenger Hunt Ads. The recipe and where to source each item:

  • Six Dark Wood — found on the ground near trees in the Forgotten Lands.
  • Five Vitalys Crystals — mine these from rock nodes inside the Vitalys Mines in the Sunlit Plateau.
  • Four Glass — craft with five Sand and one Coal Ore.
  • Two Gold Ingots — craft with five Gold Nuggets and one Coal Ore.
  • One Tinkering Parts — craft with two Iron Ingots.
  • One Arcade Pixel — Peter Pan hands this to you earlier in the quest.

Once crafted at any crafting station, place the four ads around Dreamlight Valley and speak to Ralph to unlock the scavenger portion.

What materials are needed for Ralph’s Scavenger Hunt Ads?

If you want a quick checklist for your journal or a Steam screenshot, copy this: 6 Dark Wood, 5 Vitalys Crystals, 4 Glass, 2 Gold Ingots, 1 Tinkering Parts, 1 Arcade Pixel. Use the Sunlit Plateau for mining runs and the Forgotten Lands for wood gathering to speed the job.

Skull Rock: entering and hunting the treasures

Skull Rock sits on the small island just off the coast—its silhouette is hard to miss at sunset. The cave is compact but layered, so plan where you’ll move before you dig or swing.

Inside, you need three treasure digs or breaks. Here’s how to hit them without circling like a confused NPC:

  • First Treasure — near the pile of gold: From the spawn point, turn right and go up the ramp to the second level. Walk past Tiana. Before you reach Peter Pan, look left for the pile of gold and dig the sparkling spot with your Royal Shovel.
  • Second Treasure — near the stairs: Return to the spawn area, walk straight to the dock and stop just before stepping on it. Slightly right, break the large rock with your Royal Pickaxe to reveal the prize.
  • Third Treasure — near the bridge: Scan the bridge approach and strike the marked digging or break spot to complete the trio.

Where is Skull Rock located?

Skull Rock is on the small island off the coast of the biome you’re in; follow the path that leads by the docks or take a short swimable crossing. You’ll recognize the entrance by its carved stone jaw and the cluster of NPCs telling jokes nearby.

Finishing the hunt and reporting back

The top of Skull Rock feels like a village overlook—you can see other players sprinting their errands. Bring the three treasures straight to Ralph at the summit.

Show him the treasures and let the dialog close the quest. The reward is short, but the moment is the thing—Vanellope’s snark and Ralph’s grin make the scene worth the run. The scavenger hunt is a scrapbook of village gossip, and placing the ads will get the village talking.

If you could change one mini-game in this quest to make it actually competitive, which would it be and why?
