Ultimate Ninja Build Guide for Megabonk: Top Strategies & Tips

Unlocking characters in Megabonk is a thrilling journey, especially when it comes to the elusive Ninja. With his unique abilities and challenges, mastering him can transform your gameplay experience. Here’s everything you need to know about unlocking the Ninja and optimizing his skills for the best results.

Before diving in, let’s establish one thing: the Ninja is among the toughest characters to unlock in Megabonk. His gameplay mechanics can be slightly tricky, but with some guidance, you can harness his potential like a pro.

How to Unlock the Ninja in Megabonk

To unlock the Ninja, you need to complete two steps: first, conquer the Tier 1 Desert level, then acquire the Katana weapon. Beating this level isn’t too difficult—you can use any character of your choice.

Now, here’s where it gets challenging: the Katana drops from Tumbleweeds on the Desert level, but it has only a five percent chance to drop. These Tumbleweeds are quite unpredictable and will roll away quickly, necessitating some agility to catch them. Even if you do reach one, that low drop rate can be frustrating.

If you want to boost your chances, consider playing as the Fox character, known for having an increased Luck stat. Personally, I managed to get the Katana on my first attempt by playing as Fox, leveling up a bit, and activating a Tumbleweed. It’s worth a try!

Once you’ve successfully obtained the Katana, you’ll need to purchase both the Katana and the Ninja from the Unlocks tab, which will set you back about 60 Silver.

Best Build for the Ninja in Megabonk

The Ninja character in Megabonk.

The Ninja begins with the Katana, a weapon capable of dealing devastating slashes against single targets. While initially short-ranged, its potential greatly increases with upgrades. Focus on picking up projectile count buffs; they can help you hit multiple enemies simultaneously or strike a single foe multiple times.

Moreover, the Ninja has a passive ability that grants an impressive 0.5 percent Evasion per level, paired with a unique skill that enables him to instantly eliminate enemies whose attacks he dodges. This makes him a top candidate for an Evasion-focused build. Here’s how to maximize his potential:

  • Weapons: Katana, Aura, Sword.
  • Items: Slippery Ring (for Evasion bonus), Phantom Shroud (enhances damage, attack speed, and movement speed upon evading). Customize the rest based on your needs, focusing on attack speed and damage boosting items.
  • Tomes: Quantity is crucial. While other boosts are helpful, increasing Damage and Cooldown can significantly aid your efforts.

Prioritize leveling up the Katana, as it can slice through hordes of enemies when upgraded effectively. The Aura will deter foes up close, while the Sword will amplify your overall damage output. Evasion is critical; navigating close to enemies allows you to dodge their attacks and continue your rampage without taking damage.

Though Tomes matter less in this build, prioritizing Quantity is essential for augmenting your Katana’s power right away and affecting all your weapons.

With the Ninja, your focus should be on agility and adapting to the combat flow. Evasion maximization will make you nearly untouchable, enhancing your survivability and ensuring you reap the rewards of your effort.
