Finding Jin Sakai’s Ghost Mask and Storm Blade in Ghost of Yotei
To successfully locate Jin Sakai’s Ghost Mask and Storm Blade in Ghost of Yotei, players must first access the Oshima Coast region. Begin by meeting Jubei and teaming up with Oyuki at Matsumae Castle. Purchase maps from Isaburo the Cartographer and place an Altar map on the hills south of the Otsuki River. Journey along this path until you arrive at a shrine entrance, where you’ll find an NPC named Ugetsu the Storyteller.

Ugetsu will recount the tale of the Storm Blade, revealing that you’ll find it atop the shrine. Ascend the stairs, navigate through a bamboo path, and you’ll discover a fox shrine. Pay your respects by bowing with the touchpad, and a shadowy black fox will guide you through various challenges until you reach the Glade of Remembrance.
Here, you’ll uncover a chest containing a haiku penned by Jin. Follow the path, and near a waterfall, you will find a Lost Shinobi Den filled with treasures—arrows, ammunition, armor, and even Jin’s Clan Sakai Stag Helmet.
As you progress inside the den, ascend to the roof and rocks to access a hidden cave. In this cave, you’ll spot the Storm Blade at an altar. Interact with it, but be prepared—a flash of light signals the arrival of the Nine Tails, who will steal the blade. You must defeat these forces before pursuing the thief.
Navigating through a field graced with soft white grass, you’ll come upon a hut, which serves as a remnant of Jin’s herbologist days. Exit through a nearby fence door, and you’ll find a dueling ring under a crimson tree.
Here, you’ll confront the Sword Thief in a duel for the Storm Blade. Upon victory, retrieve the blade and unlock the Dance of Wrath technique, allowing you to execute swift attacks reminiscent of Jin’s legendary prowess.
