MW4 Season One: New DMZ Endgame Zone, 4 Weapons & Maps Next Week

I hit a wire and alarms threw the whole compound into red. Ghost dropped into my comms and said, “There’s no second chance here.” You feel very small in Hajin when X01 wakes up.

I’ve been playing the opening week so you don’t have to fumble through patch notes. You’ll want to know what changes your grind and strategy — Season One arrives on Nov. 6 across PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, and it brings a new DMZ endgame, four weapons, fresh maps, and a Warzone tie-in. Read on and I’ll point you to the spots that will matter in your next raid.

I tripped an alarm on the first run. X01: the DMZ endgame that wants your best kit.

Activision describes X01 as “a previously undiscovered weapons facility” tucked into Hajin. If your DMZ runs have been warmups, X01 is the actual test: it’s designed to punish sloppy transfers, reward coordinated squads, and hand out high-value loot to those who survive the squeeze.

The site has multiple choke points and hidden chambers, and Ghost — yes, the campaign Ghost — shows up as your Watcher, feeding intel and setting the tone for heavy resistance. X01 is a steel labyrinth; every corridor can be a contract or a coffin.

What is X01 in MW4 DMZ?

Short answer: a high-difficulty endgame node where GRANIT Arms’ black site activity meets 100 Spirits NK defenses. Expect patrols, NPC specialists, and environmental traps that make head-on fights a poor plan. Your FOB upgrades and new DMZ orders are aimed at giving you options to approach X01 on your terms.

My team argued over loadouts for five minutes. Weapons and maps: what actually changes.

Season One adds four new weapons through the battle pass and in-season events: the Cronen Osprey assault rifle (tier 16), the CSG-35 SMG (tier 36), the JAK-12 shotgun (event reward), and the ZLR Talonhawk melee (event reward). These are available across PC and consoles and will filter into modes quickly.

What weapons are in MW4 Season 1?

Short list: Cronen Osprey (AR), CSG-35 (SMG), JAK-12 (shotgun), ZLR Talonhawk (melee). The AR and SMG hit the battle pass, while the shotgun and Talonhawk arrive as event rewards — useful if you like rotating your meta based on seasonal challenges. I’d slot the Osprey into mid-range roles and keep an SMG build ready for close-quarters maps.

Multiplayer gains at least six maps: Backstab, Canyon, a remastered Shoot House, plus Ministry and Overfow mid-season drops, with more to be revealed. Expect new modes too — Grind, Drop Zone, Possession (Halloween LTM), Infected (Oct. 30), and a Gauntlet 1v1 Gunfight LTM. The season acts like a toolbox for how you’ll play this year’s CoD.

I checked the blog for confirmation. Warzone: how MW4 content arrives in the BR ecosystem.

Activision says Hajin’s battle royale map, Zodiac Resurgence, all MW4 weapons, and additional content will get folded into Warzone as part of its seasonal overhaul. Full Warzone details are coming, but the headline is clear: your MW4 loadouts and maps will influence BR play this year.

Will Warzone get MW4 content?

Yes. Expect the Hajin map, Zodiac Resurgence, the new weapons, and integration across modes. The update will touch Warzone operations and is timed with the Season One launch on Nov. 6.

I read the patch notes twice. What to watch for in the first two weeks.

Play the early Battle Pass tiers to grab the Cronen Osprey and CSG-35, chase the in-season events for the JAK-12 and Talonhawk, and prepare your FOB for the new DMZ orders and upgrades. If your squad is serious about X01, adjust your loadout for suppression and mobility rather than straight firefights.

I’ll be watching how Ghost’s Watcher role alters risk calculus in extraction runs and which maps push players towards aggressive or methodical play. Activision’s Call of Duty blog and patch posts are the authoritative sources; pair that with hands-on runs to form real strategy.

  • When it drops: Nov. 6 across PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2.
  • Highlights: X01 DMZ endgame with Ghost as Watcher; four new weapons; at least six multiplayer maps; new modes and Warzone integration.
  • Where to follow updates: the Call of Duty blog, Activision posts, and community channels on Twitter/X and Reddit.

You’ll either run X01 and come back richer, or you’ll feed the zone and learn where your strategy broke — which will you choose?
