Lee Dong-wook’s Heartwarming Speech to Jo Se-ho: “Glad We Won’t Spend Christmas Together Anymore”

On October 20th, Lee Dong-wook delivered a heartfelt congratulatory speech at Jo Se-ho’s wedding ceremony held at the Shilla Hotel in Jangchung-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, celebrating Jo Se-ho’s entry into the marriage life.

Lee Dong-wook is well-known as one of Jo Se-ho‘s closest friends in the entertainment industry. The two have been building a strong friendship since they first met on the SBS variety show “Roommate” in 2014.

In particular, Lee Dong-wook showcased his exceptional loyalty by not only serving as a groomsman for Jo Se-ho’s wedding photoshoot but also by delivering a speech at the wedding ceremony.

During his speech, Lee Dong-wook said, “Jo Se-ho is a consistent person,” adding, “He’s the same now as when I first met him – always taking good care of people and still loving luxury brands.” This mix of playful revelation and affection turned the wedding venue into a sea of laughter.

He then congratulated Jo Se-ho on his marriage, saying, “I’m glad that we won’t be spending Christmas together anymore.”

Nam Hee-seok, a “senior comedian,” also gave a congratulatory speech. He called out Yoo Jae-suk and made him stand up, introducing him as “the person who played the biggest role in raising Jo Se-ho.” Yoo Jae-suk responded with a proud smile and waved both hands, receiving applause from the guests.

Notably, although Nam Hee-seok was giving a speech for Jo Se-ho, he was praised for thanking the bride’s side guests as well. It was reported that he showed consideration as a star, ensuring that the non-celebrity bride, her family, and guests from the bride’s side didn’t feel left out compared to the star-studded guest list on Jo Se-ho’s side.

The newlyweds will enjoy their honeymoon in Italy after the wedding ceremony. Following the wedding, Jo Se-ho expressed his feelings, saying, “I received a lot of help from many people while preparing for the wedding, and I will always be grateful for that.” He added, “Going forward, as two people who will spend their lives together, we will cherish and rely on each other. We ask for your continued support as we live happily with the blessings you’ve given us.”
