It’s time for another round of “I’ve love you ever since” (round 1 from 2024 is here). These are those dramas, roles, and characters that solidify your following of a particular actor, screenwriter, or PD.
No matter how much I think I know who and what I like in dramaland, it never ceases to surprise me, and sometimes there are serendipitous scripts, characters, casting choices, etc. — that something that does magic in my head and creates an “I’ve love you ever since” moment.
My previous example was for Han Hyo-joo and Park Hyung-shik after watching Happiness (and that still stands). More recently, though, it’s happened with me and my boy Jang Dong-yoon after watching Like Flowers in Sand. I didn’t dislike him beforehand, but I certainly didn’t seek him out. But now, after watching him play Baek-du, I’ve joined the ranks of fan.
