The drama “Good Partner” led by Jang Nara continues to achieve soaring ratings with each episode.

On August 25, KBS Cool FM’s “Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show” featured a phone interview with “Good Partner” writer Choi Yoo-na, who is also a divorce lawyer with 13 years of experience.

Choi Yoo-na revealed, “I spent nearly 6 years preparing “Good Partner”. This is my first time writing a drama, but I made an effort to make each episode interesting by writing 7 to 8 parts per episode.”

The dominance of “Good Partner” is strong. With only three episodes remaining until its conclusion, “Good Partner” has surpassed a peak rating of 17% and claimed the top spot in terms of buzz.

When Park Myung-soo asked if Choi Yoo-na felt the popularity, the writer responded, “Since I only write scripts in my room, I don’t really feel it. Sometimes I wonder if it’s real, and because only the early episodes have aired, I’m anxious to ensure that it stays interesting throughout.”

Regarding the casting, Choi Yoo-na mentioned, “Since this is my first time, I didn’t dare to say much. I’m very grateful for the actors I never imagined would join, like Jang Nara and Nam Ji-hyun.”

Jang Nara has transformed into the divorce lawyer Cha Eun-kyung in “Good Partner”, showcasing a new side with her charismatic and enigmatic character. Her remarkable acting has led viewers to comment, “The SBS Drama Awards this year must go to Jang Nara,” and “SBS should engrave Jang Nara’s name on the award right now.”

The combination of Jang Nara and SBS has proven successful once again. After experiencing disappointing results with dramas following “VIP,” Jang Nara has successfully reaffirmed her status as the “Ratings Queen” upon her return to SBS after five years. Although sensational divorce cases generated buzz in “Good Partner,” the strong acting performances by Jang Nara and the cast made this success possible.

The ratings of “Good Partner” have been on a continuous upward trend, leading to its consideration as a strong contender for the year-end drama awards.

Previously, Ji Sung was seen as a leading candidate for awards with his portrayal of a drug-addicted detective in “Connection.” With her solid acting skills and the amazing results of “Good Partner,” Jang Nara is set to engage in a formidable competition and win a Daesang for the first time in her career.
