The Japanese remake of “SKY Castle” finalized the cast and began filming. The remake, produced by Japan’s leading private broadcasting company TV Asahi, is scheduled to air its first episode in July.
This remake is the first collaboration following the MOU signed between SLL and TV Asahi on May 17th for mutual cooperation in content business, marking a significant step towards jointly planning and developing competitive content for the global market.
While the original focused on the intense, unseen battles for university entrance exams, the Japanese version will center on the high school entrance exam process, reflecting the more challenging and parent-involved reality of Japanese high school admissions. This change will highlight a unique viewing point that distinguishes it from the original.
The main cast for the Japanese version was partially revealed.

Higa Manami, known for her participation in dramas like “The Detective and The Prosecutor”, will take on the role of No Seung-hye (originally played by Yoon Se-ah).
