BTS’s RM Targets Lee Jin-ho, Illegal Gambler Who Defrauded Jimin

On October 14, RM posted a screenshot of some lyrics from his song “Groin” on his personal account.

This track is included in RM’s album “Right Place, Wrong Person”, released on May 24. The lyrics contain lines like, “The world’s full of thoughtless bastards / Whatever, just leave me alone / The world’s full of clueless bastards” and “Lemme say something before the frustration kills me / If I don’t like you, I’m gonna go bbangsang / Bbangsang, bbangsang, gonna go bbangsang / Like I can do anything, now no one can stop me, bangsang.

After RM posted this, speculation arose that he was targeting Lee Jin-ho, who caused financial damage to BTS’s Jimin through illegal gambling.

On October 14, Lee Jin-ho admitted to engaging in illegal gambling through his official account. He stated, “I started playing games on an illegal online gambling site by chance in 2020, and I ended up with an unmanageable debt. After receiving stern warnings from acquaintances and fearing that I might not be able to continue this work I love, I belatedly came to my senses and stopped gambling, but I had already received financial assistance from many people.

He added, “I am steadily paying back the money every month, and I intend to repay this debt solely through my own efforts until the day I die. While the financial loss is unfortunate, I am most sorry to those who trusted me and lent me money.”

Lee Jin-ho is reported to have borrowed 100 million won from Jimin in 2024, using his family as an excuse and promising to repay it within a week.

In relation to this, Jimin’s agency Big Hit Music told Newsen on October 14, “It is true that financial damage occurred as reported, and all Jimin did was to write a promissory note when lending the money.
