What was the Best Moment? ISAC Tops Ratings with Successful Comeback

The first part of MBC’s “2024 Chuseok Special Idol Star Athletics Championships” (hereafter “ISAC“) broadcast on September 16th achieved a 1.3% rating in the key 2049 (viewers aged 20~49) demographic and a 3.7% rating among households in the metropolitan area, ranking first among all programs aired at the same time.

Notably, the women’s archery finals, featuring a dramatic back-and-forth between KISS OF LIFE’s Natty and ILLIT’s Yunah, reached a peak rating of 5.2% (according to Nielsen Korea).

Returning after two years, the “2024 ISAC” boasted a star-studded MC lineup including Jun Hyun-moo, Jang Min-ho, Young Tak, Lee Chan-won, Kang Daniel, NMIXX’s Haewon and Jung Dong-won. From the opening ceremony, the seven MCs displayed their vibrant chemistry and wit.

The event began with a swearing-in ceremony by TWS’s Shinyu, ILLIT’s Wonhee, NMIXX’s Sullyoon and NCT WISH’s Sion, signaling the start of the “ISAC”.

The women’s team archery event, known for producing memorable moments, took place. The competitors included NMIXX, Center Union (WOOAH’s Wooyeon, tripleS’s Yooyeon, ARTMS’s Heejin, KISS OF LIFE’s Natty), ILLIT and STAYC. In the match between NMIXX and Center Union, WOOAH’s Wooyeon delivered high scores to secure a spot in the finals. ILLIT also advanced to the finals, where Center Union emerged victorious after a fierce battle, claiming the gold medal.

The preview for “ISAC Part 2” showed exciting moments including intense dance battles and a thrilling futsal match between the futsal legend team and the super rookie team. The second part of the “2024 Chuseok Special Idol Star Athletics Championships”, featuring exciting moments from archery, dance sports, breaking dance, futsal and relays, will air on September 17th at 5:30 PM.
