In a recent chat with The Direct, David Dastmalchian expressed interest in stepping into the roles of either Morbius or Marvel’s Dracula. If his role as Veb in the Ant-Man series winds down, he’s eager for a shift into these darker characters.
“I’ve always wanted to take a crack at Morbius, the living vampire. There’s so many fantastic characters in the MCU, and I’ve always been drawn to horror and the weirder characters. The Marvel version of Dracula has always intrigued me, along with the old Defenders and Midnight Suns stories.”
Dastmalchian firmly believes that Veb still has much to offer, especially in the context of the upcoming Fantastic Four narratives. He suggests that knowing different languages is crucial for the team, giving Veb a vital role.
“It makes no sense for the Fantastic Four to wander through the universes without someone to help interpret language barriers. Veb could definitely lend a hand—think of him as part of the ‘Fantastic Five’!”
