Drama Chat: Explore the Best K-Drama Add-Ons

When it comes to dramas, I’m mostly a “watch the show and move on” type of viewer. I never really cared about the extra stuff until Queen of Tears came along and I fell into the rabbit hole of add-ons. I watched almost all the promotional interviews, the cast’s reactions to the episodes, their talk show appearances, behind-the-scenes footage of the drama, the special episodes and the likes. I especially liked the behind the scenes and special episodes because it made me appreciate the hard work and effort that cast and crew put into the show. (Plus I will never say no to seeing goofy Kim Soo-hyun’s NGs and ad-libs.)

My entire week revolved around Queen of Tears when it aired, and I knew I had lost the plot when I waited on YouTube for the cast and crew to arrive at the wrap up party. Lol. It was a fun and immersive experience, but it was also exhausting. And while I can’t imagine doing this on a regular basis, I still think it’s worth the investment for the right drama.

How do you enjoy your dramas? Do you watch the full run of episodes and move on, or do you consume the extra content in addition to the drama?
