K-netizens Slam SM for Wrong Location Announcement for Red Velvet’s Pre-recording

The post about the incident that happened to Red Velvet’s recent Inkigayo pre-recording is drawing keen attention on theqoo.

A netizen shared screenshots of Red Velvet fans’ complaints on X (formerly Twitter) and explained the situation, saying “SM made a mistake when announcing the location for Red Velvet’s pre-recording of Inkigayo and changed the location right on the spot”.

According to fans’ posts, SM announced that the pre-recording would be in Gayang. However, after 300 fans gathered at that place, staff changed the announcement, saying the correct location was in Sangam. In fact, it takes at least 20 minutes to move from Gayang to Sangam by taxi.

In response, other netizens commented:

– All the members apologize and they keep saying sorry. I can’t understand the management team, they’re not doing anything. They don’t take care of the group’s SNS and don’t check their spelling in posts. They always forget to put hashtags of the singers when uploading challenge videos. All the posts about collaborations and pop-ups are done by the brands. Design, planning, A&R teams are doing well but the management team is ruining everything

– SM doesn’t issue an apology… The members had to apologize themselves. How can this happen? ㅋㅋ Why do they make the members apologize all the time?

– Center 3 people are all idiots… I can’t believe it

– How could they make a wrong announcement? Pay the transportation fees for fans

– Center 3 caused the incident due to their mistake but the members had to apologizeㅋㅋㅋㅋ This case is legend
