For instance, Punisher can deploy a turret that autonomously targets enemies or utilize Khonshu’s Blessings to boost his weapon’s magazine capacity or enhance headshot damage. These traits can be earned and equipped in the pre-game lobby, allowing players to join forces with characters like Magik, Blade, Thor, or Jeff the Land Shark.
What really captured my attention is the sheer number of enemies displayed in the trailer. The sight of managing hordes of zombies feels incredibly gratifying, whether you’re slicing through them as Blade or Magik, unloading a clip as Punisher, or just having fun with Jeff.
There’s also a nice variety in enemy types, including massive police zombies equipped with riot shields, statues of Khonshu that seemingly heal or buff you, as well as miniboss confrontations against zombified heroes like Namor and the main showdown with Scarlet Witch. With multiple difficulty levels, the potential for replay value seems quite significant.
I haven’t been playing Rivals as frequently lately, but I still believe that NetEase should explore other PvE modes showcasing seasonal storylines instead of just relegating them to trailers or in-game lore. I’m hoping that Marvel Zombies will be an enjoyable experience, receive positive feedback, and pave the way for an expanded plot in future updates.
