Kakao Entertainment announced on September 24th that Yoo Young, the writer of the popular webtoon “Yeolmu and Altari”, passed away on the 23rd at 41 years old.
Yoo Young reportedly died of cardiac arrest while sleeping, which was about 10 days after the artist announced his leave of absence to recharge himself.
The bereaved family said, “We would like to express our gratitude to readers who have loved Yeolmu and Altari from the bottom of their hearts. Currently, the main characters Yeolmu and Altari, Yuli and Kwoni can now protect their mother with their father. We are sorry to tell you such sad news.”
His mortuary was set up in Room 5 of the funeral hall of Daejeon Konyang University Hospital, and the coffin will be held at 12 p.m. on the 25th (KST).
Meanwhile, “Yeolmu and Altari” is a parenting story about raising 10-year-old twins, a disabled child and a non-disabled child. It received a lot of support for detailing the process from birth to growth of the two children.
