After the recent Fischmas update, Fisch received another big content drop that added a new explorable island, fish, rods, and much more. Avalanche Rod is one of the new items that was added to the game’s rod pool with the Northern Expedition update and here’s a guide on how you can get it.
Where to find the Avalanche Rod in Fisch (Location)
The Avalanche Rod can be purchased for 35,000 credits from the top of the Northern Summit. You’ll also need the Glider to reach the rod, so ensure you have it before beginning the quest. Start by getting on a boat from the Moosewood dock and sail into the sea towards your left. Look for the Northern Expedition marker as shown in the image above. Upon reaching the indicator, you’ll encounter a portal that you must enter.

After warping through the portal, keep sailing straight and you’ll soon come up on the Northern Summit island. Head for the camps I’ve indicated in the above picture and you’ll spot a series of ladders leading inside the island. These ladders are ultimately a trail that you can follow to reach the top of the mountain. Cross a few camps, climb several ladders, and hug the mountain while crossing the cliffs.

You’ll then reach a spot with no ladder connecting the two cliffs. To cross this gap without falling, equip the Glider from your inventory and glide your way to the other side. There’s not much distance left to cover from here on; climb a few ladders and you’ll reach another campsite. Look for the Avalanche Rod placed next to a tent (see image above). To add the rod to your inventory, spend 35,000 credits and make it yours permanently.
How to get the Glider in Fisch
Glider is a tool that allows you to cover otherwise inaccessible distances with ease in Fisch. It costs 900 credits and can be purchased from the Angler NPC situated deep inside Roslit Bay. There is an alternate but slightly more difficult way to obtain the Glider: purchase it from the Merchant in the Desolate Pocket, which requires the Diving Gear to reach.
Fisch Avalanche Rod Stats and Best Enchantments
I highly recommend you add the Avalance Rod to your collection if you’re a newbie in Fisch because it has great stats for the money:
- Lure Speed: 40%
- Luck: 68%
- Control: 0.15
- Resilience: 10%
- Max Kg: 65,000 Kg
The Avalanche Rod is described as “a sleek rod with an icy blue spiral design and glowing blue accents.” It looks good and does a good job at catching fish thanks to its superb control, luck, and max weight for the price. Some good enchantments you can get for the Avalanche Rod to improve its usefulness are:
- Resilient: A 35% boost to Resilience.
- Quality: Increases Luck by 15%, Resilience by 5%, and Lure Speed by 15%.
- Hasty: Decreases Lure Time by 55%.
