So, what are we all watching this week?
What kept you reaching for more (or agonizing when there was no more), and what made you want to throw your remote through the screen? Time to weigh in…

Call It Love: Episode 9: Squeeeeee, that whole hospital handhold scene nearly killed me. Perfectly shot, perfectly OST’d, and perfectly acted! No words required, just soulful eyes and a pink filter. While I’m loving this drama in a way I didn’t expect to, I think my one reservation is that the drama’s slow pace is making it a bit harder for me to track of the nuances of the OTP’s relationship. But I can’t really complain, because the drama’s pace is what makes it special. (It’s also time for another Sung Joon shoutout; he’s filling out this side role like nobody’s business, and I like how the fake-dating parent meeting subverted our expectations. Touché.)

Mr. Sunshine: Hoo boy am I late to this party, but wow does it have me in thrall. This is one of the most intricate, well-characterized and emotionally devastating dramas I’ve ever seen. The scriptwriting is so deft! Such a perfect blend of witty and gut-wrenching! I absolutely refuse to be normal about this show; for one thing, it involves my beloved Kim Min-jung (whose performance is stunning as ever), so I’m contractually obliged to fall apart over it. Our leads are phenomenal — Kim Tae-ri and Lee Byung-heon are total powerhouses separately, and magical in combination. The character work is fantastic. Every single second lead has me giggling in delight. Most of all, though, it does that thing that all the best historical shows do, where it takes the vast, complex sweep of events and makes them into something tangible and human — but, crucially, still has so much scope. I’m gripped. I’m terrified. I’m five episodes from the end, and I don’t know if I’m prepared. One thing’s for certain: ‘Greensleeves’ will never sound the same again!
