Lee Jun-hyuk, Han Ji-min
In SBS’s upcoming office romance Love Scout, a cynical businesswoman finds her hardened heart melted by her faithful secretary. Amidst a busy society that prioritizes profit and practicality over all else, this drama promises a comforting tale of growth and healing.
Han Ji-min (Behind Your Touch) stars as Kang Ji-yoon, the jaded CEO of a headhunting company. In just five years since its founding, Ji-yoon led her company to the second-highest in the industry’s ranks. Capable and well-rounded, Ji-yoon has the skills to back her confidence up, and she hasn’t the slightest intention of acting humble. But her self-assured attitude is a front she puts on out of necessity — after all, in a world that values money and accolades above all else, Ji-yoon must succeed to survive.
That single-minded focus has its drawbacks, however. Outside of work, it’s as if Ji-yoon has turned off the switches for everything else. That’s where her trusty secretary Yoo Eun-ho, played by Lee Jun-hyuk (Dongjae the Good or the Bastard), comes into the picture. As a single father to his six-year-old daughter, Eun-ho can keep house just as well as he can settle documents. With his steadfast kindness, he’ll help Ji-yoon realize that there’s more to life than her career, and that her worth is not defined by her salary or her achievements.
Rounding out our supporting cast, we have Kim Do-hoon (Your Honor) as Woo Jung-hoon, the son of a rich family. Although he may seem carefree and immature, like a pampered young master without a care in the world, Jung-hoon’s lighthearted demeanor belies a deep conflict with his father. Behind his privilege, Jung-hoon grapples with tumultuous emotions that gnaw at his heart.
As for the final member of our main quartet, Kim Yoon-hye (Jeongnyeon — The Star is Born) plays the graphic novelist Jung Soo-hyun, who dreams of being a bestselling author. Soo-hyun’s precious son is the light of her life, and she makes sure to attend every single one of his school events. That’s how she coincidentally meets Eun-ho, whose daughter attends the same kindergarten. With her easy-going personality, Soo-hyun quickly forges a bond of camaraderie with Eun-ho over their single parent status.
Helmed by PDs Ham Jun-ho (My Strange Hero, Payback) and Kim Jae-hong, with scripts written by Ji Eun, Love Scout will premiere on January 3 next year after The Fiery Priest 2 wraps up its run.
