So, what are we all watching this week?
What kept you reaching for more (or agonizing when there was no more), and what made you want to throw your remote through the screen? Time to weigh in…

My Liberation Notes: Open endings, I do have a love-hate relationship with you. While this one was fitting for the drama’s tone and storytelling, I also wanted a tiny bit more. But maybe that’s better than an ending that makes you want less, hah. Either way, this was a gorgeous and thought-provoking drama all the way through, and it’s on my Best Drama of 2024 list right now and I doubt it’ll budge.
Kiss Sixth Sense: Oh boy, week 2 of this drama is even more fun than last week. Sure, it’s doing all the things that I expect it too… but I kind of love that about it? Also really digging Seo Ji-hye + Yoon Kye-sang. Nice casting, better chem. They almost make me forget how nice Kim Ji-suk looks here.

Showtime Begins!: I simultaneously liked and hated that we spent so much time with our characters’ past lives. The story of Poong Baek and Cheon-hwa was fun (albeit tragic), but I’m not looking forward to what the story has in store for us now that we’ve returned to the present. With only four episodes left, I think it’s safe to say that the plot is going to be focused on Cheon-moo’s possession of Hee-soo, and I’m saddened that we might not see our magician-cop duo team up again for another unsolved murder. Not sure our three favorite ghosts are going to get a proper send-off either. I hope I’m wrong!
Shooting Stars: I don’t have any complaints about our main couple, and I’m still waiting on their relationship to become the scandal of the week. That said, they are kind of old news for me, and I’m here for my new favorite ship: Ki-bbeum and Soo-hyuk. Please, please, please give me more of them!
Mr. Queen: My friend and I are still plugging away with this one. It’s been a bit slow going, but not because she is disinterested. (She actually says this is her favorite drama that we’ve watched together). Instead, we’ve both been busy and our schedules haven’t been lining up as frequently. Just wrapped up Episode 12, though, and the Joseon version of a McDonald’s hamburger will forever crack me up.
