My Liberation Notes: What can I even say? While I enjoy all the storylines, it’s Mi-jung and Gu that have my full attention. The drama so beautifully captures the security of having someone at your side (and watching your back, rooting for you, etc.), but does it so subtly that it becomes pure art. I could watch the two of them walk, talk, and sit in that little living room on repeat forever.
Happiness: I am so not into scary, gory, or zombie-type dramas, but I’ve heard so many good things about this show I wanted to give it a whirl. I’m two episodes in, and while I need a little more OTP (which I’ve been promised that I’m getting), I love Han Hyo-joo’s character already — fearless, flippant, and totally awesome. Also, while the drama is a tad bit too creepy for me, it’s not terribly gory, so as long as I don’t watch this right before bed I think I’ll make it.
Our Blues: I think I’ve officially dropped this one.
Love All Play: As much as I love My Liberation Notes, this drama has quickly become my little happy place. I love everything about its little world, our couple, the emotional conflicts, the coach of never-ending second chances, oh and that confession. This would be a lovely drama to marathon, but I can’t stop myself from watching it the second it’s released. Where did my discipline of waiting for episodes to stockpile go?

Showtime Begins!: I think this is my favorite currently airing drama. Something about magic shows and ghosts working behind the scenes just gives me a good chuckle, especially all the scenes where we cut to the poor put-upon faces of the ghosts as they make the “magic” happen. Their expressions really undercut the seriousness of Cha-woong’s over-the-top performances, and I smile every time. It’s also a pretty straight forward story that doesn’t require a lot of brain power to follow, and given my day job has been stressful, I haven’t had a lot of brain cells to spare. It’s my goofy little reprieve.
Shooting Stars: I’m enjoying this story’s little peek behind the K-drama curtain, but the character I find myself the most interested in seeing is the lawyer. I wouldn’t quite call it second lead syndrome (yet), but I want to see him in action. I hope something happens that makes him go into lawyer mode and come to the company’s rescue. As for our OTP, I like the way they playfully bicker but then show kindness and sympathy for each other when it matters. I’m not fully on board with them as a romantic couple, but they will probably grow on me… unless I do end up liking the lawyer more…
