New Teaser Released for Shin Se-kyung and Im Shi-wan’s Romance Drama Run On

A new teaser has been revealed for JTBC drama Run On, starring Shin Se-kyung (Rookie Historian Gu Hae-ryung) and Im Shi-wan (Hell Is Other People). Shin Se-kyung plays a foreign language movie translator, and Im Shi-wan plays a retired athlete.

The promo teaser begins with keys clacking on a keyboard, like running feet on pavement. Shin Se-kyung’s fingers on the keyboard and Im Shi-wan’s sneakers are shown side-by-side. Their accomplishments are also shown side-by-side: A movie credit saying “Translator Oh Mi-joo” for Shin Se-kyung, and a great run time of ten seconds for Im Shi-wan.

Im Shi-wan begins narrating about his character: “A short-distance track-and-field national representative who must always look forward, Ki Sun-kyung.” His running image is captured on video playing on Shin Se-kyung’s computer.

The narration passes onto Shin Se-kyung: “A movie translator who must always turn back [in order to replay], Oh Mi-joo.” As she looks up, she says “With each person speaking their own language…” and Im Shi-wan continues as he runs with a great big smile, “with each person moving at their own pace…a full-circle romance where both go toward each other.”

Im Shi-wan arrives at the park where Shin-Se-kyung is working and calls out her name. She beckons to him with her hand, happy to greet him. He sits down next to her on the grass and asks what she’s been up to. She replies affectionately that she’s been working, and he looks at her work and asks what it means. She leans her head on his shoulder and tells him: “It means Run On begins airing on December 16.”

Wednesday-Thursday JTBC drama Run On, written by Park Shi-hyun and directed by Lee Jae-hoon, will begin airing on December 16.
