Luffy Frees Loki in One Piece Chapter 1141: Ragnarok Is Coming?

We had been dying to meet the Prince of Elbaf, Loki, ever since the Whole Cake Island arc. After we finally reached the promised land in the ongoing arc, the expectations for Loki hit the sky. However, Oda subverted the fans’ anticipation by introducing the giant prince as the shame of Elbaf. He was shackled to a giant tree in the underworld due to the appalling crimes he committed, and killing his father was the end of the road for him.

Unlike any other character we have seen, Oda has set up Loki as a malicious prince. Freeing him is considered treason and the person would be banished from the homeland of giants. But our hero, Luffy, sees something else inside the prince of Elbaf that we don’t, so he wants to free him from his shackles. After Luffy’s short testing duel against Scopper Gaban in the Giant’s castle, he finally gets the key to unlock Loki’s chains.

In One Piece Chapter 1141, Luffy and Zoro head to the underworld with the massive key to set Loki free. While Luffy is dead set on letting Loki free, even if it results in his banishment, Zoro second-guesses his decision. In case you forgot, Shamrock and Gunko arrived a while ago to invite Loki to join the God’s Knights. Since the prince refused and threatened Shamrock, he got beaten to a pulp by Cerberus.

When the New Giant Warrior Pirates arrive to stop Luffy from triggering the end of Elbaf, it is already too late. Loki gets unchained from all the shackles (except the one on his ankle), and the colossal size of his character has everyone trembling now. It is currently unclear whether Zoro unlocked his chains using the key or if Loki’s chains got broken by the Cerberus’ attacks earlier.

Anyway, the accursed prince of Elbaf rises now, and he also grabs his own version of Mjölnir called the Ragnir. As the giants mentioned, all the hells let loose on Elbaf right now, and Loki might trigger the Ragnarok in the One Piece story. But Loki may also band with Luffy since fans predict Loki to be a good guy but is framed as a wicked villain by Elder Jarul. So, let’s wait and see what’s about to unfold in the next chapter.
