Currently weecapping: Youth of May
Mad for Each Other: I love this drama more than I thought I would! The couple is so ridiculous yet so sweet, making me laugh and cry all in one 30-minute episode. I almost wish it were longer, but the bite-sized format actually works perfectly with the story.
Hospital Playlist: Finally, finally working my way through Season 1, now that Season 2 is around the corner. Sadly, nothing really surprises me because I’ve been seeing spoilers for over a year. Even so, that doesn’t completely ruin the viewing experience — it’s a nice, comfortable watch. And, like a moth to a flame, I get super invested in the multiple love lines.
Extraordinary You: It’s taken me three tries to get into this drama — not because I didn’t like it, but because I was busy watching other things. But this time, after seeing Haru behind that umbrella, it was pretty easy to zip through five episodes in one night. Again, I know this drama pretty well due to spoilers (*shakes fist at internet*), but thankfully, I have no idea how it ends. With a happy-in-love Dan-oh and Haru, I hope!

Sell Your Haunted House: I don’t like the off-kilter schedule at all, so I’ve only watched Episode 14 and I’m saving the final two for next week like the drama gods intended. But ack! I love how this is coming together. I love the slow realization for Ji-ah that she has been the one holding back her mother’s ghost. It plays out so well, and as usual, Jang Nara sells the whole thing hook, line, and sinker. And as much as I loathe these creepy egg ghosts, I like how that is coming full circle, too, and can’t wait for the bad guys to get their justice — and Ji-ah and In-bum a little happiness.

Currently recapping: Doom at Your Service
Youth of May: Knowing this really happened made these episodes a particularly hard watch. I can’t imagine how horrifying the experience must’ve been, but it’s also amazing how so many fought back and risked their lives to help each other. I appreciate that the drama is showing us the Gwangju Uprising from multiple angles and not shying away from the brutality of it all. With two episodes to go, there’s no way we’re getting a happy ending out of this, but I just hope the ending does our characters justice.
Sell Your Haunted House: I’m surprised that exorcism went so quickly, and I’m half expecting they’ve missed something. But it seems like the final episode will focus on taking down Director Do, especially after what happened to Ji-ah in that last scene. I wish Director Do were a more compelling villain. He’s that caricature evil CEO that we’ve seen a thousand times, so it’s hard to feel invested no matter the awful things he’s done.
