Introducing the Latest Feature on Dramabeans

Introducing the Latest Feature on Dramabeans

<p>Hi Beanies!</p>
<p>You may have noticed that things look a little different around here. It’s not a full-on site redesign, but we’ve rearranged the furniture so to speak. </p>
<p><span id=

We’ve been analyzing, squeeing over, and ranting at K-dramas for a long time now, and it’s time to take that into some new and exciting territory. Better than a last-minute save from the Truck of Doom, or a kiss from oppa (okay, maybe not that one), we’re introducing…user reviews!

We’re taking the star ratings from our Recap pages and introducing a whole new setup. Once you click on the new Shows tab, you’ll be able to see the top trending, top rated, and most viewed shows on Dramabeans. When you click on an individual show, you’ll be add that show to your favorites, give it a star rating, and write up your own reviews.

With the help of the DB community, we’re hoping to rock the world of K-drama user reviews and become the #1 destination for the most discerning of fan reviews. Because sometimes people need to know that Melting Me Softly isn’t worth the watch, that Bossam: Steal the Fate is a hidden gem, and that The K2 uses towels for very interesting reasons.

I also wanted to address another concern that Beanies have brought up. As adults, sometimes we do what’s necessary, but not necessarily what we want, to keep the lights on and a roof over our heads. Some of us may turn to illustrating adult material, and some of us have to turn to ads. Lots of ads. We know it impacts the user experience, and though our future goal is to reach an ad-free Dramabeans experience, we can’t sustain the site without the ads. (We hope that day comes sooner rather than later.)

Your role as a Beanie, should you choose to accept it, is to rate and review. If you run into any issues or have suggestions, please tag us @db-staff. This is our beta launch so thank you in advance for your patience as we put the finishing touches on the new features. Happy reviewing, and don’t forget to stretch your fingers in between writing reviews and exploring the latest DB look.
