Let’s see how everyone’s shows are doing this week. Monday was full of premieres, with sageuk Haechi, thriller Item, and fantasy romance The Light in Your Eyes. They’re all very different genres, but looking at their ratings, they’re able to stand up on their own. They managed to get higher numbers than their predecessors’ finales.
On Thursday, numbers for What’s Wrong Mr. Poong-sang actually surpassed the popular An Empress’s Dignity. Since the latter had an extension, perhaps viewers are just waiting for things to wrap up; the drama will end its 52-episode run next week. Finally, for the weekend, our last premiere was The Fiery Priest, which came in with 10.4 percent. I guess the thriller priest trend won’t be dead anytime soon.
