I stopped mid-step as the tiles hummed under my boots. You can feel the room holding its breath—the wrong move and everything snaps back. The floor felt like stepping on hot coals.
I’ve spent nights testing these patterns so you don’t have to. Read this and you’ll move faster through the Sunken Temple, avoid the reset traps, and grab the chests other players miss.
All Sunken Temple puzzle basics
The Sunken Temple sits to the right of the Sunken Wilds safety dome.
You need a complete Spirit tube and a Spirit Gun to get here safely; community threads on the Abyss Discord and creators like Stinky Rat are useful if you want exact tube progression. Each chamber is a single-path tile puzzle: two fish-marked tiles are the start and end, and you must step through a precise sequence without repeating a tile or the puzzle resets.
Short rules to keep in your head: start on one fish tile, follow the legal tiles, don’t step on any tile twice, and reach the second fish tile. Mess up and the room resets—so move deliberately.
What happens if I step on the same tile twice in Abyss Sunken Temple puzzle?
If you step on the same tile twice, the puzzle resets immediately and you must start again. That’s the mechanic—no partial credit or retries. Treat each tile as irreversible until you finish the pattern.
Level 1
Level 1 is the first chamber you meet after entering the temple.
Start on the fish tile in the second column and follow the single valid route to the other fish tile. The pattern is strict: one continuous path, all tiles lit at the end, and an iron grill lifts to reveal a Tier 1 Chest. The correct path is like a seam in an old sail—tight, precise, and forgiving only when you respect its line.

Tip: use Abyss codes for a small early boost if you’re testing tube builds or race shards after opening the chest.
Level 2
Level 2 sits just below the first chamber and appears after you drop down.
Enter, pick up the Level 1 loot, then drop to encounter the second puzzle. Start on the fish tile at the bottom right and follow the single correct path. Completing it raises another iron grill and reveals a Tier 2 Chest. This is where a clean run pays: one extra second of thought prevents a full reset and saves you time when you’re farming tubes.

Level 3
Level 3 is the lowest chamber and holds the best chest rewards.
After you finish Level 2 and drop again, start on the bottom-left fish tile and follow the one valid path. Finish it and the grill lifts to reveal two Tier 1 Chests and one Tier 3 Chest. Rewards here can include tubes and shards that let you change races—these are the items that speed up your next runs and get you the Spirit Gun builds you want faster.

Is there only one solution to the Abyss Sunken Temple puzzle?
Yes. Each puzzle has a single valid sequence that raises the grill. If you think you found an alternate route, you probably stepped on an invisible dead tile or retraced a step—those cause the reset.
If you want an efficient run: study the tile layout, mark the start fish tile in your mind, and move confidently. Community screenshots on the Abyss Discord (credit to Stinky Rat) are great for rehearsing before you travel in with a fresh tube.
I’ll ask bluntly—will you risk a reset to solo the Tier 3 prize, or will you wait and watch who beats you to it?
