Assessor probes show up unpredictably. In my runs they arrived either smack in the center or skirting the edges, so keep your GPS and audio up. Once the probe touches down you’ll usually find two or more Vaporizers defending it—fast, armored, and shielded. They move like a smoke alarm in a quiet house: sudden and impossible to ignore.

The Vaporizer Regulator is an epic material found only in a Vaporizer’s loot. Kill the Vaporizer and the regulator is guaranteed to drop; it’s not a rare gamble, it’s a direct reward. That item is currently required for crafting the legendary shotgun Dolabra, which has already reshaped meta conversations on forums like Reddit and strategy channels on Discord.
Fight smart: bring burst damage and a plan to strip shields quickly. Focus fire, stagger the Vaporizer’s circuits, and keep movement tight—avoid the vapor clouds and do not solo it unless your loadout can punish shields fast. Think of the Vaporizer as a sealed fuse box; you need a clean, coordinated yank to get the goods out.
