By default, units in SpongeBob Tower Defense come with no traits and only with base stats. So to make them stronger, it’s recommended to apply one of the eight traits to them. In this guide, we’ll provide you with a tier list of all traits in the game, including tips on how to reroll them.
All Traits Tier List for SpongeBob Tower Defense
If you want to apply traits to your units in SpongeBob TD, then you need to speak to Sandy Cheeks NPC. Previously, he could be found inside the Challenges area, but lately the developer has moved this NPC into the Summon area.
Ranking | Traits |
---|---|
S | Secret Formula, Vortex |
A | Wealth, Pursuit |
B | Scholar, Surge |
C | Reach, Strike |
S-tier: Most Overpowered Traits
If you can get one of these traits for any of your mythic units, this will be the most powerful combo in the game. Of course, you can’t put both on a single unit, so spread them between two of your strongest towers.
Traits | Drop Chance | Effects |
---|---|---|
Secret Formula | 0.5% | Doubles the unit’s overall damage. |
Vortex | 1% | Greatly increases unit’s attack speed. |
A-tier: Highly Useful Traits
While damage and speed should be on top of your priority list when rerolling for traits, upgrade cost and range will be just as important.
Traits | Drop Chance | Effects |
---|---|---|
Wealth | 2.5% | Reduces unit upgrade cost. |
Pursuit | 6% | Greatly increases unit’s range. |
B-tier: Decent Alternatives
Getting any of the top-tier traits is very hard, and you’d have to purchase lots of reroll tickets. But if you get one of these alternatives, then you can be happy, as they’ll be quite useful.
Traits | Drop Chance | Effects |
---|---|---|
Scholar | 12% | Increases unit’s XP gain. |
Surge | 26% | Increases unit’s attack speed. |
C-tier: Starter Traits
The following traits will drop most often, so you can freely change them for something better, as their buffs are insignificant. Keep them only at the start of the game, and as soon as you can reroll again, don’t hesitate to replace them.
Traits | Drop Chance | Effects |
---|---|---|
Reach | 26% | Slightly increases unit’s range. |
Strike | 26% | Slightly increases unit’s damage. |
