These characters just get on our nerves and infuriate us. And it’s not just that we dislike these characters, but the fans loathe them with a passion. 10. Foxy
We are starting with Foxy the Silver Fox, who first appeared in the “Long Ring Long Island arc” in One Piece. He served as the villain in this arc, with his crew sailing under the Foxy Pirates banner. Foxy later appeared in several One Piece filler arcs and quickly cemented his position as one of the most hated One Piece characters.
Foxy hasn’t committed any crime or done something bad that hurts people; still, his mere presence is more than enough to irk the fans. The creator Eiichiro Oda must have created Foxy with the word “irritating” in his mind and has succeeded in doing so. Thank god, he has not appeared in the series for a while, but he continues to annoy fans new to One Piece.
9. Kurozumi Kanjuro
You must have heard this popular quote once in your life: “The saddest thing about betrayal is that it never comes from your enemies.” Kanjuro put on an exemplary performance that lived up to this quote. We’ve already met the CP9 members who betrayed us in the Water 7 arc, one of the best One Piece arcs. However, Kanjuro’s case is completely different as this guy posed as a loyal retainer of Oden for 20 years.
In reality, he was trained by the remnants of the Kurozumi clan to continue spying on Oden and overthrow the Kozuki family. Being a theatre artist from a young age, he played the role of a spy perfectly and turned into one of the main villains during the raid on Onigashima.
Hence, Kanjuro is a special case, where we liked the character initially but began to loathe him after this unexpected revelation.
8. Trebol
One Piece anime fans suffered greatly from the subpar pacing of the Dressrosa arc, but a character in this arc made fans suffer even more whenever he appeared on screen. It’s Trebol who is also the main reason why Doflamingo ended up being the person he is today. Be it Trebol’s character design, devil fruit powers, laugh, or voice, everything about him can irritate any One Piece fan easily.
It’s not only his appearance or his speaking style, he is also one of the most wicked characters we have met in the series. With a mucus dripping from his nose all the time, Trebol acts as the tertiary villain of the Dressrosa arc, did well to get on our nerves so much that fans still hate him to this day.
7. Spandam
Next up, we have Spandam, who used to be head of the CP9 team and acted as the main villain of the Ennies Lobby arc. Fans can never forget him since he is the man behind Tom-san’s execution at the hands of the Marines. This leather-faced character was a pure sadist who didn’t mind killing anyone as long as he got his deeds done, i.e. to get Pluton, the ancient weapon.
Oda made sure to give Spandam an off-putting look, which further worsened our experience with this character. Moreover, he joins our most hated One Piece characters list because of the way he treated our precious Nico Robin during the events of the Ennies Lobby arc.
Even though he wasn’t seen in the main story for a while, Spandam returned in One Piece movies, such as Gold and Stampede, to annoy the fans once again with his looks and antics.

6. Orochi
We have another member of the Kurozumi clan on our most disliked One Piece characters list, and it’s Orochi. He was a heartless schemer who worked behind Oden’s back and took over the Wano Country in his absence.
He grew an insane hatred for the Kozuki family since his grandfather’s death. Sure, he was a victim of the Kozuki family’s mistreatment. But that was no reason for him to turn into a ruthless tyrant who brought more harm than good to the peaceful samurai country.
Out of all the grievous crimes he committed, the one that hurt the fans most was when he gave the faulty SMILE devil fruits to the poor inhabitants of the country. This made them smile at all times and robbed them of their negative emotions. More than Big Mom and Kaido, Orochi became hated among the fandom for his vile actions, and he got his deserved ending at the hands of Denjiro and Hiyori.
5. Vinsmoke Judge
Many One Piece characters stepped up and lived as great fathers, such as Zeff, Whitebeard, Corazon, and others. But we also have those like Vinsmoke Judge, who is probably the worst father in One Piece history. He is an emotionless scientist who went to the extreme lengths of transforming his kids inside the womb into super soldiers.

When Sanji becomes an exception among his kids, he abuses his own child for becoming a cook and being compassionate to others. In the eyes of the fans, he is not a father at all, and we are all waiting for the downfall of this soulless brute in the story some day.
4. Big Mom
Charlotte Linlin, more popularly known as Big Mom, is an enigmatic One Piece villain. Big Mom’s parents abandoned her at a young age, which changed the path she took in life. She was an innocent kid at the beginning, but the environment she was brought up in by Mother Carmel contributed to her becoming a monster in her life.

Don’t get me wrong; she was indeed one of the most powerful characters in One Piece. But in terms of personality, she was a merciless monster who even hurt her kids. It’s clear that Big Mom suffered from mental breakdowns, however, Oda’s portrayal of her character has made her one of the most disliked characters.
3. Saint Charlos
Do I even need to explain why Saint Charlos is one of the most disliked characters in One Piece? He is a selfish and entitled brat who flawlessly summarized the personalities of the cold-hearted World Nobles. The half-witted oppressor loved to force people into slavery, as seen during his debut in the Saboady Archipelago arc.
Fortunately, Luffy was there to save the day, and our hero presented fans with the most satisfying moment by wrecking Charlos’ face. Oda continued to punish Charlos for his ignorance and cruelty by making other characters such as Mjosgard, Sai, and Leo beat him to a pulp in the recent Reverie Incident.
2. Akainu
The Ex-Admiral Akainu, aka Sakazuki, is an adamant follower of Absolute Justice in One Piece. Throughout the series, he follows his principles to the tee and aims to bring justice even at the cost of others’ lives.
Among all the officers in the Marines in One Piece, we have yet to see a ruthless general as much as Akainu. During the Ohara Incident, we quickly became aware of his brutality when he ordered and destroyed the evacuation vessel.
But that was not the moment he was enlisted in the most abhorred characters in One Piece. It was when this scourge mercilessly killed Ace in the Marineford War. He committed all the cruelties in the world with his power in the name of justice and shaped himself as one of the most diabolical villains of One Piece. We are just waiting for the day when he will pay for his crimes.

The Five Elders, aka the Gorosei, continue to be one of the major villains but weren’t seen in action for the longest time in the story. However, as the final saga kicked off, Oda introduced Saint Saturn as the main antagonist of the Egghead arc. Right when we thought the Celestial Dragons were the epitome of evil, Saturn showed us the darkest levels of cruelty we never thought we would see in One Piece.
Saturn considered the rest of the humans to be nothing more than insects. Thus, he went above and beyond the brutality to conduct sickening experiments on human lives and showed no remorse for his unspeakable actions. He singlehandedly destroyed the lives of Kuma’s family and wanted to do more harm during the Egghead Incident. Fortunately, he was stopped by Luffy and was wiped out without mercy by his own god, Imu, in the end.
These are the One Piece characters who are most hated by the One Piece community. Oda is still introducing more new characters, such as Garling, Shamrock, and more, in the story, so we never know, we might find a new target to dislike soon.
